Lol so you took the delivery of the car, without knowing how to drive manual?

Am I reading this correct? lol

But since you literally just bought it...you have a ton of leverage. As long as you don't admit fault and tell them that story...you should get it don without any cost to you.

These things fit in the car wash?! That will teach you to get the hand wash. I'm sorry you had to learn that way. Best of luck with the repairs

granny shifting not double clutching like you should :tsk:
In the mid 70's I learned to drive with a four on the floor. When Dad taught me to drive he told me to always double clutch. To not do so burned up clutches. :D

I could smell it, but by that time the damage was done. I'm 22 years old and today was my first manual experience ever.
You bought a manual car with that much power without ever driving a manual transmission at all? Poor car, here in germany most people are driving MT and are learning that in driving school - So I know how people without experience are shifting :(:brokenheart:

I takes a lof of hours to really get a feeling for driving with clutch, with so much power it's even harder. Sorry but should never learn driving MT on your own car

Oh an never ever let the clutch be halfway engaged. Pull it to the medal to shift or if youre standing, or let it completely go if your car is moving.

Did you let the clutch cool down and try to drive it again. I had one get real hot in my fox body at Hot August Nights one year sitting traffic being 17, trying to be cool. Got pissed off and tried to do a 180 to turn around. Clutch wouldn't grab. So I parked it for the night. Next day everything was fine.

This is interesting behavior I see over and over again. Don't man up, lie and count on a free repair even though you screwed up. And there's ton of threads about how difficult it is Ford Service to make do something about real warranty problem - it's because of behavior like that.

Hmm. Get repair quote by phone anonymously. Compare to cost of jack, stands, tools, alignment tool, clutch plates. Watch YouTube. Use bad experience as a chance for some DIY repairs.
Unless of course he is paid very well. Then just bite the bullet and pay the professional.

(Still glad I went with the automatic.) :bolt:
