Livernois V7 Review

So here is it guys... THIS IS MY OPINION AND IMPRESSION OF THE LMS TUNE.

V6 tune is awesome. Feels stable, feels strong, and makes the car much more enjoyable, especially at highway speeds. One thing that I couldn't stand about this car as it was stock is that it felt like a ford focus on the highway and was slow as hell. Didn't have a good passing feel and struggled to get up to speed for the fact that its a mustang. Which left me really dissapointed. Thats when I knew that I really wanted to tune this car.

So the V6 upholds its great reputation of being a great tune. without a doubt I was very impressed! One thing that is important to mention is that this isnt going to feel like a V8... i think sometimes someone may feel that it will beat a 5.0 or feel just like a 5.0 and it just isnt... Always remember that this is a I4 with a turbo....

Onto the LMS V7.....

WHOA... thats really all that needs to be said, but ill go on. The LMS V7 tune is amazing. It literally puts torque into your hands instantly. I find that my torque comes in about 3 grand strong and keeps pushing all the way until redline pretty much. The V7 tune is where its at. To all that are tuning, Keep livernois in mind because this tune completely changed my mind about this car... for the price of the car plus the tune and whatever little mods you may get, its easy worth getting a Loaded ECO over a GT to the RIGHT person.

Sounds like they got it going on with the V7. Livernois is definitely in the running when I tune. Any chance you can get any 1/4 times with track apps or at the track?

I will be headed to the track with it once I put my all seasons back on since I've already shredded up the stock summers. It definitely feels like it has to be a 12sec car now

Even a worn set of performance tires are better than all-seasons. All-seasons are bad for all seasons from performance aspect.

That's what I thought too but I managed a 13.8 before tuning on my yokohama all seasons and went back with the Pirellis on and couldn't grip. It could have just been because it was too cool out for the Pirellis at the time

I'm a local and yes I want to feel the power. I visited LMS a few weeks ago,BTW, Andrew and Matt gave me a tour of the facility. To say the least I was impressed by both of them and LMS. I was undecided which way to go with the tune. I want to support my local brethren, but wasn't sold on their tuning device. The AP tuner is appealing with it's ease to change tunes. Glad you're happy with the tune, could make my decision very easy.

I hear what you say about the tuning device.. Its kinda old school feeling but for me there is nothing wrong with that. I don't personally have the need to have a small data screen with a bunch of options on it and the ability to change a tune on the fly... Thinking rationally, what are you even able to do with these options and tune on the fly... unless you are a programmer and tuned the car yourself, what exactly are you gonna do with all of the extra options a cobb comes with? on top of that, tune on the fly doesn't make sense to me, you should tune the car and leave it unless you travel to an area that doesn't sell the octane tune that you loaded.

Im not trying to say that one is better over the other and just simply go with my opinion. What I am trying to say is, look at all the options, look at the reliability, look at the customer support, look at the power gains and precision in the tune, and then go from there. I am NOT knocking any other tuner. I am just very happy with the LMS tune.

I will say this though, there is a big difference to a company that not only has tuning capabilities, but also the ability to build anything to your spec that you want as well as a full machine shop where you can have them make parts for you if you needed/wanted. R&D is very important when your playing with expensive vehicles. I truly believe that livernois, conducts one of the highest quality operations that are available for domestic cars from old to new.

I am a skeptic of everything until i research it fully, thats just the way that I am. I like to take the time to make the best decision that I make when I am spending money. For my use, my purpose, and my goals, livernois was the best decision for me.

Plus, the customer support from them during the process was spot on. My questions were answered immediately and i didn't feel left out of the process. This to me was important..

less than 10 minutes for sure.. longest part is reading the prompts if you have to. Other wise i would say 5 mins

I have the lms tune, version 4 I think. Love it. It knocked almost a whole second off my 0-60. Best 5.2. Tune only. I know this tune is capable of a sub 5 0-60 with a great start. So should we be updating to the newer versions as they become available?
