I have owned several camaros and mustangs of all different years and varieties and up until today I was dead set on getting the new camaro. But now that the pricing was released I am thinking about the mustang again.
That being said...I havent been following the GT350 closely and am wondering if any magazines have had a chance to get the car and give us performance numbers such as 0-60.

Not yet, but I'd expect those reviews to be out very soon since they're due to start leaving the factory in about a month.

There are a couple threads around with people's guesses, based on the known power and weight. Track performance for the regular GT350 is said to be equivalent to the C7 Z51, while the performance of the "R" is said to be on par with the 911 GT3 (which I find to be amazing).

It will be very interesting to see if magazines are able to replicate that level of performance. I suspect straight line speed will be similar to the C7 as well.

0-60 should be less than 4 seconds and the 1/4 mile in ~12 at ~117. Think C7 and M4 straight line speed.

Regular 350 should be right around the 3.8 or 3.9 0 to 60 and about 11.9 12.0 at 118 quarter mile. now the gt350r since its lighter and has a different suspension im betting 0 to 60 in about 3.6 3.7 and about 11.8 at 120 no problems at all. They started spitting out of the factory as of the last week or 2. You will see a lot of testers like car and driver getting their hands on one very shortly

12.2 to 12.3 in the quarter. Real world numbers......
Maybe in your world lol. A bone stock 2015 GT with 435 hp are doing 12.5s 12.6s. Gt350s are lighter and have almost 100 more hp. GT350 also revs a lot higher, different engine, different suspension. We'll see when the testing happens what the numbers are. Ill stand by my numbers especially the trap speeds will be damn near 120

That's what the s197 boss 302 would do all day with 444hp/380tq.

Even with a little extra weight, the gt350 will have 80+ more hp and 40+tq on the roadrunner.

You'll be seeing c7s and gt350s trading blows at the strip dipping into the 11's. What you won't see is any gen6 camaros running close to it's big brother. It'll still always be the bitchmobile in Chevy's performance car lineup, neutered so that the corvette stays top dog.

And if some 1le/z28 comes out, it still probably won't be allowed to hang with the corvette unless it's priced higher. See gen5, chevy charged 70k for a camaro with 51k corvette performance.

I think the main advantage the c7 might have in a drag race, is the 8 speed auto. It will be more consistent than the gt350, maybe not faster though, if the gt350 has driver mod.

I really want one of these, but I'm seeing that a large down payment/second job may be required for me to afford it.

On a side note, the focus rs also looks promising and much cheaper at a rumored 35k. The days of factory stock 11 second mustangs, and 12 second focus' are upon us.

The IRS worries me. Most 2015 GT's are running high 12's to low 13's with a good driver. In the real world, I still say the GT350 will be a 12.3 to 12.4 car. Plenty quick for me. Just waiting for some of the hype to settle down so the prices will drop.

The irs doesn't seem to be an issue for those running 12.5/12.6 bone stock, it's been documented. Give the s550 more time and exposure, and you'll see even more consistent runs in that range. Sort of like the corvette c7/m4 mags test it in the 12's but owners have taken the cars well into the 11s. The only difference is the gt350 will be in the 11s for mag tests and it will be proclaimed as faster than either the m4/c7. Under the right circumstances, you might see the gt350 win a race or two against the gt500 in the 1/4. Heat soak won't be as much of an issue since it's n/a, and the powerband and red line will make for some high trap speeds.

It will also generate over 1g on the skidpad, and hopefully repeatable <110ft. 60-0 stops. It simply has to produce these numbers if it truly hangs with the c7 on the track.

I think a monkey could pull mid twelves in a 350.

I bet the 350 will have a heck of a 70~120 pull, and easily under 4s for 0~62. I really do not see acceleration being a problem with this car in any instance. It is all about handling, though.
