I got the 775 kit from leathal performance with warranty, large tbody and fans for 7200.00. They had 10% off at the time. Install was $1300.00. So roughly $8400.00 all in. Worth every penny! No regrets, to be honest it comes down to who you are more comfortable with especially on a new car. I trust the product that whipple produces.

Did you steal that kit? Nice buy! what company provides the warranty? Do they force you to go to a certain shop or wait for repair approval? Hopefully they will pay any repairs directly to vendor.

I ran the roush on my '12 and loved it. Im going to be going whipple on this car. Im stuck on that setup. I had zero issues for 32k miles on her and the only reason the new owner rebuilt the motor to add more boost. for the 11-14s id go TVS all day. 15's the whipple gets the nod for me.

Now when you say warrantied,......you're talking about just the Whipple supercharger and all supplied Whipple accessories, correct?
The reason I ask is because with Roush, the entire car is warrantied, whether it be by Roush or Ford. Granted the Roush supercharger and all it's accessories are warrantied by Roush and all other aspects of the car are warrantied by Ford.
I guess my questions is, what happens if I install a Whipple supercharger and my rear end starts acting up within the 3yr/36k warranty? Will Ford still warranty that rear end work/parts without any hesitation with the Whipple install?
The main reason I ask is, I've been debating keeping my '13 RS3 and getting a '16 Mustang to build up to be a weekend warrior. Not sure if I want Whipple/Kenne Bell or even a centrifugal, like a Pro-Charger at this point.
Thanks!
Many think Ford will warranty the vehicle after a Roush or FRPP kit, but that's not true. Only Roush can warranty the vehicle. While Ford can void non-supercharger related items (radio, airbags, door locks, etc), only Roush would warranty the powertrain. But, many miss what many will call "abuse" or "neglect" which at Roush and dealer discretion. I can tell you, burn your clutch and see how good the $995 warranty is.

I have the whipple on my daily driver and no complaints. It was installed at the dealership and I opted for the warranty from Whipple.

Drivability and reliability are fantastic.

Great price, if my shop will get close then its Whipple for me.. This is the kit I want. Don't know if any local shops will work this,,,more like $10,000.. Maybe I can ship car to Lethal and still save $$$

Buy the kit yourself from one of our great vendors on this forum and take it somewhere for install. Install cost should be in range of $1,000 - $1,500

I thought of that.. Shop wants $1500 for install + $250 to check out on dyno with data log if I buy from them... If i don't buy from them then install price goes up about $500... :( If They don't work with me I will just buy from one of the GREAT vendors onsite and install myself and forget the warranty...

thanks,

Waiting on several PM's from forum vendor quotes now,

That's a shame you can't find a better shop. I had mine installed at Tasca Ford and they gave me a discount on the kit AND a discount on labor because I bought the kit from them.

This is how all shops should be if they want repeat customers and new customers via word of mouth from happy customers.

EDIT: As a matter of fact I also had my gears changed from 3.73 to 3.31 and had before and after dyno runs (with a few extra during install) and after sales tax paid less than $10,000 WITH the TB and fans.

I would say install yourself, the Whipple tune is reliable and we've had zero issues thus far. OEM like quality as well. Install take awhile but it gives you the opportunity to learn the system and your car a little more:)

I may depending on cost.. If it's going to cost me $3500 for install, dyno, taxes and added cost of kit for a $5000 warranty just as soon pass on it...

hey Josh are you putting the whipple on yourself? Have you used mo's or injected or kurgan for anything?
sorry bud just saw this! I had a friend put mine on in his shop. VERY reputable guy. PM inbound.

I'm not that guy lol, like I said I depended on someone else on my last build and after a re-tune it blew on 1st pass caught on fire at over 130 mph and I had to stop it safely get out and put out the fire and salvage what I could on a $50,000 2011 SS setup.. NO insurance and no help from builder so I am kinda gun-shy and leaning towards warranty :)
Holy shit.... I understand that. Well, whipple does sell a warranty. And the install is pretty straightforward, what really matters is the tune. I'd stick with reputable tuners (obviously) to make sure you're covered.
