Wheel Offsets

The Forgestar CF5’s in a 18x11 might clear as they have a different barrel design and provide more clearance than the F14’s. My plan is to run a 19x11 with Pirelli Trefeo R tires in a 305/30/19 square. Nitto NT01’s are also available in the same size. Most likely I’ll have to use a slightly smaller RSB to balance the car. The car is capable of running an 11” wheel up front and I’d recommend 11” wide wheels as a minimum both front and rear. I’m considering the HRE FF15’s in 19x11.

My wheel dealer is working with Forgestar right now trying to get wheels sorted out.I have Forgestar F14's on my M4 and I am quite happy with them once I got them after a 7 month wait.I am still not sure about going to a square setup but it would be nice to be able to rotate tires to prolong their life.

I doubt an 18" will work.I ran 380MM Stoptechs on my M3 and I only had about 3mm clearance to the barrel of the 18" Apex wheels that I ran.My M4 also has 380 MM brakes from the factory & most of 18's on the market do not clear the caliper which is a 4 piston Brembo.The GT350 has 394 MM rotors & a 6 piston caliper so I doubt 18's will work.

i have it on good authority that CCW will be developing a wheel to clear. i also have a friend with a GT350 order in locally, and he plans to test fit my 18x11 CF5 for clearance - i'm sure he won't be the first to try though, so i expect everybody will know soon

Have they fit 18s on a Z06 carbon or 458? Going to be very very tight even with a modified barrel

I think you can pretty much rule out 18's as an option. The disc and caliper are too large. I haven't checked measurements, but visually the caliper is only a few mm away on the OE wheels.

The offsets are not listed on the Ford parts network.Allready tried that!

Not sure who's wheels you are looking for but I bet you that Forgeline could build a set. I know the owner and I am pretty sure they did the initial test wheels for the project for Ford

I will call them on Monday.Still undecided whether to do a staggered or square setup.I also spoke to John at CCW and he thought he could do 18's with this brake setup.

I have done 18" wheels on ZR1's which have 15.5" front Brembos too and the fit is extremely close. Close enough that small rocks well drag between the caliper and wheel. No biggie for a track car but it typically does scratch he calipers over time.

There are a few manufacturers that make forged aluminums in custom offsets/sizes. I don't know the weights of the Forgeline offerings (perhaps they should list those on their site), but at $1500-$1700 a wheel they are at the high end of the price range.

If 18's could fit/work that would be preferable, but at what cost would have to be evaluated.

My E92 M3 with 19X10 and 19X11 both ET 25 with 275/30/19 and 295/30/19 Mich PSS.

I know the R model comes with the C/F wheels but I'm worried about the weight of the non R model wheels. I also am not into black wheels, I would probably switch them out to something lighter or at least have the non R wheels powder coated to a hyper-silver.

Almost impossible to list weights. Depending on the pad design used it can change weight of the wheel. So you could have a concave shallow pad wheel and a flat face with a tall pad and it weigh 2 lbs more at the same size and offset. Just depends on what clears the calipers

A Ford engineer said the standard wheels weighed less than the normal GT PP wheels that are narrower. I'm sure they are not super light, but can't be too bad.

Very positive, however the GTPP wheels are so heavy what does that quantify? Are they still over 30lbs per wheel? If thats the case a set of lighter wheels maybe what the doctor ordered for a base GT350.
