You'd be surprised, they are having trouble keeping up with demand for the scats and hellcats

Not that there's anything wrong with being "ghey" -- or driving a Honda -- I have both a Mustang GT PP, and a civic (no mods), and I luuu da pussaay!

Honda's are GREAT cars -- but hard to fall in love with like you do a mustang -- totally different purpose. My Civic has ding-duty at the metro -- it will also save my mustang in the winter.
I've never owned a Honda but there is nothing gay about them. The kids bought them and hot rodded them up because the were extremely cheap. Thank gods because a whole generation of automotive enthusiasts might have missed the boat and never moved on to better cars as they got older.

I had a RT with Trak Pack

I wouldn't even consider an R/T unless it was a Scat Pack. 375 horse power in those heavy cars isn't very impressive. Only on this forum have I ever heard 4 banger drivers call other 4 banger drivers gay. Strange place.
It handled well (not as good as my adaptable SRT suspension, but not bad). It was quick to 60 mph. It had good "torque" (slightly more torque than a 2011 5.0 Coyote--but the Q was available much earlier). It would slam you in the seat. My best 1/4 time was 13.3 sec. (but this was a M6, which is 2 tenths slower than an Auto).

I'm sure I could beat a stock Eco with it (not by a lot). But there 3 BIG reasons why I traded for the SRT-- Brembo's, 6.4L (100 more HP, 100 more Q) and adaptable suspension.

As for the original question, the Sporty Accord is a car for guys who want understated good looks, and crisp DD performance. It is not a gay car.

Id like to point out quick is a subjective term and NO 13.3 car slams anything into the seat. Im sure it puts you back alright but that car is not slamming anything, either is a stock gt.

I could launch that car pretty hard. It would press you in the seat. Not as much as my SRT....but I practiced many launches. Sticky tires helped. The RT may not have enough power for it's weight, but it had plenty of torque (bigger displacement motors tend to have it).

I never said it was fast in a 1/4 mile. That is a different issue. The RT ran out of ooompf because it could not rev high. There are slow trucks that have massive Q, which will certainly slam you in the seat.

A stock GT can press you back good if launched well. But it doesn't realize the torque until it winds up. The power comes in later because it's a high revving motor.

high 11 second and 12 second cars don't have a lot of slam you in the seat feeling. They will of course press you in the seat alright but that's about it. 1.4-1.5 60fts or better, sure. But I do like the srt's and scat packs.:)

It depends on the throttle mapping. If it has an aggressive top end, then even a hot hatchback can throw you backwards into your seat.

My SRT runs in the 12's

Still disagree.

Ive NEVER been in any high 11 second or 12 second car that does any throwing of any sort. Disagree. Faster cars have that trait.
Best run was 12.6 before my mods (it's an M6). It slams you if launched hard. When I get my Magnusson, I expect that it will continue to slam me back. Only difference is that I should be in the 11's.

My Evo 8 cut 1.5ish 60ft and ran low 11's. There is no way anyone could lean forward when I launched off my two step. Hell stock I could cut 1.7's and never once on the street had anything come remotely close to touching me off the line. I could throw anyone I wanted to around in that and it never broke 11.5's. 35lbs of boost hitting all at once will slam a person in their seat.

Not much experience w/ asthmatic big blocks w/ deep gears in light cars, huh?
Big blocks, yes. Light cars with big blocks, no.

Ive driven an srt I don't find that its a slam or a throw of any sort. Sure it puts you a little deeper in your seat, but that's a far stretch from throw.

Im familiar with evos, I had one, I currently daily an sti as the beater. 1.5 60ft, exactly what I said when I expect to see someone thrown or slammed also youre low 11s. That's more of being thrown back. Not these high 11s or 12 cars. All these people saying they are thrown around probably aren't cutting those kinds of 60fts either. On summer tires in rwd, I don't buy it, not in high 11s or 12 second cars. Been drag racing way too long to buy what they are selling. My 25+ years experience tells me other wise, especially the 10k passes ive done. Maybe their idea of slammed and thrown differ from mine.

Your calibration is way off due to experience with much higher powered vehicles.

For 99% of the population, a 13.99 second car is still fast.

I got many friends who never even been to a track, and then if they get manual, they probably wouldn't launch it right the first time or so, like I have (Been called the Guru by several of my friends when it comes to cars, so I know their skill lvl)

Still, pretty sure once they experience it, they'll be hooked
