Was having fun in Mexico with a few buddies, from a dig me & the subie gunned outta the whole with the Infiniti 2 cars behind us. The Subie was ahead of me by half a car length and started pullin away when 3 digits hit. The infiniti was creeping in my rear view by then. I was expecting to be outright dogged right outta the whole. Discuss away buddies!
EB-Automatic, intake/exhaust
Sti-stock.
G37Scoupe- auto/exhaust.

Sti should have pulled you much harder out of the hole. Sti needs a driver mod. Id have thought youd pull on top end during that run though. You both trap about the same stock. I haven't researched your EB motors extensively, does having an intake without a tune hurt your car? It does subarus.

Not tuning doesn't hurt as the EB has a MAP instead of a MAF. Problem with top end is the EB tiny baby turbo simply runs out of breath.

thanks. The sti doesnt exactly have top end breath either as i think you know. I guess its slightly bigger then the stang. Which i find shocking.

Get a tune on that EB, most of the problem running out of breath is due to the crap FORD tune

Exaclty. You will be surprised how much top end power a simple tune will provide.

He HAD to of bogged the launch. That's the only reasonable explanation i can come up with, unless the dude just flat out can't drive? Ditto on the EB thought. I figured it would have reeled him in more than that. Subie's die up top. Anything over (roughly) 60mph and they're done. In stock(ish) form, anyway.
