Well of course. To suggest something so complex as lowering the motor on new mounts (maintaining all of the connecting and alignment with the trans and driveshaft is "so easy a caveman can do it" like it's changing a spare tire is simply mind boggling.

Nope and frankly wouldn't want to take on the multi day project having to somehow rent or buy an engine lift etc to get a new $1500 intake manifold (plus new mounts) in there to get me a whopping 10-20hp. There are much easier and cheaper ways to get 20hp.

How do you expect to lower the engine with new mounts lower in the frame if you dont have a lift supporting the engine to take out the old motor mounts? Levitation?

You think it's simply remove the mounts drop it lower onto new mounts without unhooking anything? Then strip the intake manifold to swap out. All time.

That's the non-mechanically inclined answer.
You support the engine/trans from below with a jack or stand like we all do at shops/dealers.

Still an asinine answer to imply that if you cannot do a motor mount swap/lowering in your garage then you're somehow an idiot basically like this is equated to changing a CAI or tire.

Not everyone is comfortable under the car on jack stands (not me but in general) doing major work, let alone messing with the base to their engine being connected to their car. This is far from changing brake pads and rotors or a catback.

Doesn't make anyone less of a person as implied to not want to do that work in their garage. It's not an option for I would guess the vast majority of the user base here, which takes out an intake manifold swap as a viable option (if it even turns out on the 2015 to be worth it to that owner). End of discussion on that end of the topic.

To remove motor mounts from just about any vehicle you support the engine from beneath remove them out and install the new mounts it's a very simple job when you are mechanically inclined. Nothing needs to be removed as the engine has lots of free movement in it up and down.

I completely agree here, a friend got his cj on and tuned from rev auto the other day, it's downright Nasty and as his woman put it violent now.

He has a 14 that is faster than my 15 only mod more than me is the cj.
I was speaking about the older cars as was grimace.
Nobody that has come up on social media has the cj on a 15 other then a car sitting at a shop in md.
