Is it only me that doesn't understand voiding your engine warranty for just 30hp ? Supercharger is a different story, but a tune ?

A tune won't void your warranty. That is your misunderstanding.

I've heard both that a tune will and won't void your warranty. I can't imagine the dealership wouldn't notice and that seems like a pretty good reason to void it if they'd want to.

If you tune the car and the engine blows up, I would not count on a warranty for that.

If transmission goes, a jerky dealer or Ford person could argue that the added power from the tune caused the damage, so you might have to fight for warranty coverage (like if the clutch failed quickly). If oil was not installed from the factory and the transmission turned to dust, then you'd probably get coverage even though you were tuned.

If your touchscreen radio system craps out, you'd be totally fine.

A warranty covers parts of the car, so it isn't all or nothing. If it can be argued that your mods contributed to the damage, then you might have have to fight for coverage.
