So what exactly was the CEL for that they couldn't fix? Sorry if I missed what it was for. People have all reported the same problems you've experienced but not all of them on the same car, or at least from what I've read (I'm still kinda new lol).

So what's next?

Hi everyone,

I was looking for a thread with a similar topic and I couldn't find one so I decided to start my own.

I have been working with Ford to buy back my brand new 2015 Mustang Ecoboost Premium for several months. It had a check engine light on it since the first day I bought it and Ford couldn't fix the problem. Finally Ford has bought back that Lemon they call a mustang.

After reading through so many posts about various issue's with this model mustang, I wanted to see how may others have been able to get Ford to buy back there Lemons.

It's sad for me to say but, this was the most poorly built car I have ever owned. I wanted to love every piece of this car from the cooled seats that blow out hot air, to the great radio that works when it wants, to those plush leather seats that rip as soon as you sit on them. I'll be the first to admit the car looks great but, it runs like a mule not a mustang!
I applaud all those who posted in this thread that are such giving people that they treat the OP as sincere and wholly truthful.

I would have felt the same if the last paragraph wasn't there. But hey, maybe I'm just a cynical prick.

To the OP - good luck!

My car was built the during the fith week of production back in October, the only thing that has gone wrong is the back up camera blacked out during the week before last but it's working ok now.. Love this car my premium is flawless in the build with the exception of the camera issue.

If this was the most poorly built car you have ever owned, you must have driven some pretty crappy stuff up until this car. I was happy your situation was remedied right up to where you make clearly blatant attempts to make the car out to be something it's not. Anybody could get a lemon, but that does not mean every car of the same model is going to have the same issue(s). If you are thinking the seats are going to rip by just sitting in them, maybe you need to lose some weight or take that screwdriver out of your back pocket.

I have 5000 miles on mine and everything works perfectly. You've got to remember, this is a mass produced machine that is assembled in just a few hours with hundreds of individual parts and assemblies. The fact that they can start it right up and drive it off the end of the assembly line is a minor miracle. Things happen and certain cars can just have a Ziggy attached to them, but it's rare. To say the 2015 Mustang is the worst car ever produced is a pretty big stretch there chief. Come back to me when you have owned a 2000 Durango.

My car has a few minor quirks but it's a Ford. It was this or a 1-2 year old Porsche.

My radio has reset itself while driving maybe 3 times, my Recaro seat squeaks here and there and the dash sqeaks sometimes left of the steering wheel.

Otherwise the car is pretty awesome in comparison to the S197s I've driven. The EB motor is nice and easy to work on along with the entire car actually.

Who knows what the future holds though, I am glad you got your money back though!

OP sorry to hear about your car. Every once in a while people do get lemons. Hopefully you will get another Mustang. I got lucky i guess. Haven't had any real problems. Knock on wood.

I've heard of lemons from every manufacturer. As car enthusiasts we are more vocal about our problems than the average minivan driver. You tell Jane Soccer Mom Doe that its ok to drive with the mil light on and she will be on her way. Likewise she will never notice squeaks or rattles over the din of the wild offspring in the back or her Jane Jane's audio books when she has finally dropped the demonspawn off. I'm glad the OP got his situation resolved to his satisfaction, but there are plenty of people here who have great cars so there is no need to slang off all of them. If the OP were to get another one, (seems unlikely at this point) the statistical chance of another problematic car are insignificant. From what I understand the February and later built cars have been very good, having resolved the majority of teething issues of a new model. Can anyone confirm?

I read it as he was talking about his specific car, not all Mustangs. Although, I will say Fords QC has been the worst I've seen in 2015 compared to other cars I've owned.

Alot of people here get hurt feelings if someone disses the stang. It's probably the same people that have mustang tattoos, eat off of Mustang plates, or say all GM engines explode.

This forum is almost as bad as Corvette Forum with the amount of people that are fan boys and all.

my 350z was a lemon by california law. somehow it made it all the way to SC through auction and i bought it. There was nothing wrong with it. Nissan told me it was just a woman basically who wouldn't shutup about her purchase and was making up problems about the car. because of how easy lemon law is to achieve in cali they bought it back.

i had the car for 8 years and never had a single issue....and saved $20k back in 05. It felt good being 19 with 350z that cost $24k when it was a 40k car. Although it had next to no value in 2013 when I traded it in on my previous car because I needed a back seat for kids. SO i took a hit there because it had lemon on the title. My parents had a grand cherokee where the dash literally fell in the front seats that got bought back...but that was a real pain in the ass in SC.

but other than my experience, I've always heard outside of that, that getting lemon law on a vehicle is pretty simple in cali. Especially judging by how many cars in the wild are out there with lemon on the title from cali. Is this still true in 2015?

Having had a few BMW's and living in Germany, where EVERYBODY has one, I can confirm BMW makes alot of Lemons, no Lemon law in Germany means most people are stuck with them.
