There's a rib under the front of the manifold that has to be slightly trimmed.. Nothing crazy.

As far as power differences, I can't see it making a huge difference with the blower. I have one here if someone wants to test it out. Just pay for the shipping, and send it back when you're done.. Or, shoot me a few bucks if you want to keep it.

If I order the base HO kit and swap the pulley for more boost will the "canned tune" that is provided be able to compensate appropriately for the pulley swap?

OR

Should I order the stage 2 and just run it how it comes with no pulley swap, same difference in power?

Sorry to thread jack, we can take it to PM but I figured this could help others since we are on the subject of surge, tuning and more powa!
If I could do it again id just order a complete stage 2 and quit while I'm ahead.
The STG2 kit runs very very strong with 100% stock tuning and boost.
Right around 600+ rwhp. (our demo car makes 607-613)
On just 91 octane. No glory runs, no 93, no MS109, no E85.

Driveablity is spot on, no hickups, no bucking, no starting issues.
Drives stock, until you hit the "Loud Pedal"

I can't speak for prochargers tune. I can say that a good tune will have the load tables setup properly.
They are in there, however it just depends on when they will run out of injector, and pump. We have made 630rwhp, however thats about the end of the line for our stock injectors. (maybe a bit more) But we haven't pushed it.

The reason why we haven't, is because there is almost ZERO point in putting more boost into the car on 91-93 octane fuel, with the knock sensors turned on. Since they will pull timing, due to the fuel quality. We would rather run 9psi and lots of timing, then 12psi, and have to pull a bunch of timing. (Power levels, end up nearly identical)

Just wanted to chime and mention I clocked 500 miles and a Tail of the Dragon run on my car last weekend. No issues. Even pulled on a Roush SC'ed S550.

Jon Lund tuned car with ID1000s , P1SC HO kit.

I miss dragon's tail. I used to go there on my bikes when I was living out east.

Tapatalk spelling errors inside!

The original question had nothing to do with fueling, it had everything to do with tuning. The answer of, if the load and timing tables are set properly, the car will be fine on its current tune. The widebands take care of the rest. Not if you are pushing past what the fuel setup is meant for sure, pressure will drop to unsafe levels to try and maintain the commanded AF.

People have been running 15psi with decent amounts of timing on 93 without issue on these cars. This is how you are seeing 700whp D1's

Ok so based on the air fuel ratio it will compensate accordingly? So I could swap a pulley, add a catback and it should be fine with the canned tune from Procharger with the HO P1sc kit

Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk
Catback won't do anything to fueling. As long as your fuel system is enough, you shouldn't have issues dropping the pulley if procharger set the tune up right.

The amount of "good quality" 93 that can handle that in this country, is pretty low. Heck I don't think there is anything that good within a 300 mile radius of our town. Decent 91 is about all we get here. (The 93 is not true 93, but 91 that is claiming the added 10% ethanol's octane)

For the "average" guy that is going to drive across the country, and use who knows what kinda fuel 12psi really will have diminishing returns. Unless you turn OFF the knock sensors (dumb dumb dumb) they are going to pull timing. PERIOD.

These cars run off the adaptive knock strategy, turning them off is removing an integral feature.

back in 2011, when the copperhead pcm learning curve was steep and everyone thought it was meant to be tuned like a 3v.
