Anyone know if it's ok if I run around with the LTs untuned for a day or two until I get my tune? Might have to postpone the install, I don't want to fuck anything up

It's not something necessarily that I would suggest doing. If you're going to throw them on the car you're likely going to experience some idle surging and the cars going to feel like slop for lack of a better term. If you can't wait do what you need to do and me know if I can help get Bama to fast-track the tune so we can get you set up.

Sounds like AM gave the OP the best deal. Not sure if he got the okay to disclose the price. But, if I go with some LTs on my 2016, I will check around to see if they can match that price he hinted at or if anyone can beat it.

Well - That would be me but I'm not seeing them just yet online and I'm not 100% sure if we're going to have them brought on.

Please tell me you aren't going to the shop on Bragg Blvd. I'd say their name, but don't want to get into a bash war. Do yourself a favor and make the trip up to Benson and use Fastlane instead. I've dealt with both shops, and one is far superior. I wouldn't be afraid of the mail-order options though.

I'm deployed right now or I would have offered a hand on Bragg. I might need to see how your car sounds once I get home.

I stand defeated. The passenger side header took me FIVE hours... I started a little late because the skills center on post didn't have an E8 or T40 Torx bit. I got about half the bolts on the drivers side off before they closed shop. There were breaks taken, and a lot of cussing breaks as well. The longest part was literally the motor mount bolts. 2 inches of hell. Lots of thread locker on them. I'm bloody, dirty and defeated. Wanted to try and knock it out in the 5ish hours alotted to me. Tomorrow should be quick. Going to disconnect the drivers side motor mount bracket, Jack up the engine slightly and yank that fucker out! I will post sound clips as soon as I finish

I used a ratcheting wrench with a swivel head. It took me a while to get that one off when I put mine on. it's a slow painful process. Also, for the motor mount bolts, just pop the hood, get some long extensions and zip them off from the top. that's how I got them out. Also I drove it to and from work everyday, but I live closer to the post gate so it was only about 3 miles a day before getting it in for the tune. Let me know if you need any help finishing it, I did my install over two days in my driveway and maybe have some tools or tips to help.

I made the mistake of using one of the shops you speak of near bragg.. My car feels like it gained no power after the long tube install, and it was there on the dyno for a really long time because they couldn't get around the speed limiter so they just did pulls to 6200rpm, then said when SCT got back to them they'd call me so I could come get and they could take care of it and get me full pulls and never heard back from them. I just left it for now since the car's running ok and I'm planning on doing forced induction in a few months when I decided if I'm going to do nitrous or a blower, however I don't think i'll ever head back there for any work on my 2015.

I did go there at first. I always drove by and saw some nice looking mustangs out front. I have since heard nothing but horror stories. I'm going to be giving this online tuning a shot. I've got a tune waiting in my email I need to load once I get my ass back home. And fastlane was booked for almost a month

If you want to swing by the skills center, they open at 11am. It's the one near Hercules Gym next to Pope Airfield. I have just the drivers side to do along with re-aligning the rest of the exhaust. Just to make it fit a little better. My MF tips were a little off

I'm gonna have to get with you two once I get home. I've been debating between Kooks or ARH. I think I got one of the first delivery cars around our area, and deployed shortly thereafter. It'll be nice to make some new acquaintances.

I'll see if I can't get out a little early tomorrow and try to help out. The drivers side should be a breeze, especially with an extra set of hands.

Definitely man. I'll be around for a bit. Also I went with BBK and a custom 3" midpipe. They're not too bad since I'm building on a budget over here. If you have the funds I've seen much better reviews from Kooks and stainless works 1 7/8" headers.
