Sorry, i've been slacking. But anyways... here's the dyno with the new exhaust. Kind of disappointed with the numbers seeing as how much people have made with just the header swap. I only gained 11whp from the headers over completely bone stock. Just the "Strategy tune" that came with the SCT X4. Contacting Lund again, sent him the datalog of the dyno and hopefully he comes back with more than, the tune looks good.

Here's the Dyno
Atleast she doesn't sound too bad

hmm, that's not far off what my car made but it was tuned by those guys there. 402/385 *they only could do pulls up to 6200rpm because they couldn't get my speed limiter to move out of the way for some reason*. the guy projected it should be in the 410-415 range hp wise, which I also think is a little on the lower end. maybe it's just this nasty, muggy NC air...

I just dont think they seem to know what the hell theyre doing. Carl seems to be ok, but the other guys are questionable. I had them try tuning my car the first time, but they made less power than the SCT X4 out of the box tune. I went with Lund after the header swap, :/ waiting on their response to the dyno, hopefully they make some corrections.

I purchased kooks 1 3/4 headers, what are you guys running? should i have gone with the 1 7/8. i was told by my local mustang shop that 1 7/8 would be overkill if i didn't or wasn't planning on adding a power adder. you thoughts?

1 7/8 is overkill but its usually recommened in case you want to go FI later down the road. Doubt you feel a diff with NA setup. Prob talking a couple hp.

I might go FI in a few years once i save enough money but i don't want to put on the 1 7/8 headers and lose power, i bought the headers to gain a reasonable amount of power. What do you guys think?? Thanks

Kooks is always our go to brand. We are their largest dealer, and run them on all of our in house cars. Remember to call us @ 443-730-9428 for the Mustang6G discount. You can get great specials like free ceramic coating.

You're not going to "lose power". I've got some knock issue with my car I haven't quite figured out yet, i really need to get the car back in the air. It's probably just exhaust rubbing somewhere. But even still, not being able to pull above base timing, because of that, i'm still making more power/torque than without it.

Did you ever get a dyno run with a Lund tune? I've got a Magnaflow Comp cat-back, too, and was thinking about getting the Kooks 1 7/8 headers also. Worried about the combo being too loud for cold startups. I know you were worried about that. Have you had any problems? Also, were the headers worth it for you?

Cold starts are a bit rough, but i havnt had any complaints yet. As for the headers being worth it? I hadn't taken my car to the track nearly as much as I wanted to this year... Or at all really, life's just been too busy. Once I can manage to finally get out there I'm sure it'll be worth it.
I havnt had the car re-dyno'd yet because my situation hadn't changed. I'm getting false knock from somewhere. The only place I can see that is close to touching is my exhaust tips. If I stop being lazy i'll try removing the mufflers and running just the X pipe to see if the problem goes away

Good to hear that you haven't gotten any complaints. Looking forward to your progress.

Bleh, well removed the mufflers to see if the tips were the problem with my false knock issue... Still getting about 2Âş knock with a WOT pass in 3rd... Didn't want to have to get back under the car, but I guess im going to have to to try and find the elusive Something Loose or something close to touching? Bleh...
