When I bought it gas prices were almost double what they are right now....What do you do?
Probably Dubyah's faultWhat would I do: Blame a Govt. conspiracy.![]()
Yeah, I drove a Durango V8 then. Probably got 15mpg on a good day. There were a few days when stations, especially downtown, were completely out of fuel.Already happened. Hurricane Ike in 2008. But I was driving my '95 GT that got 16-18 MPG. Gas doubled over night when the oil wells shut down in the Gulf.
I still had to get to work, still had to take kids to school. Life goes on. But we did eat out a LOT less, quit going to the movies and splurging in other areas.
Follow the economy and you can watch how gas prices effect areas such as restaurants, entertainment, etc.
It was something like $8 or $10 a day for me to get to work in gas alone. And yes, I kept burning Premium due to spark knock.
Haha, a friend of mine's first car was a green H1. I remember us getting like 6mpg. That was before Chevy ruined the name too, so it was REALLY rare to even see them around. We had so much fun in that truck, I have never been much of one to go "muddin", but with an H1 it is the most fun I've had in a 4x4. We would have it completely sideways in mud and it would crawl right out. Awesome awesome trucks!Well, I'd probably drive the H1 less...but I daily drove the H1 around $4 a gallon... Nothing shits on hippies like happily filling my tank for $150 every two weeks.
If you enjoy what you drive, you shouldn't care about gas prices.
