Daytona ?
I wasn't told anything about Daytona. I didn't even find out it was there until more CTSC GT350R came out... after Sebring Daytona was mentioned but as far as I know, it was only the Multimatic R.

I suspect 160 would be easier there...

Any idea or guess as to what performance increases a tune and LT headers would do for the new 5.2 FPC?? Is there still tuning potential with this new motor? I'm really curious to see what Lund and Livernois can do with this motor.

I wouldn't think Ford would leave a whole lot of safe power on the table.

I think Ford has left plenty of reliable power on the table.

I think there has been a decent compromise in power just to get the traditional v8 sound also.

A new header design would likely result in at least the power gains seen from Cotote engines if not more.

Ford is likely holding back quite s bit with this first salvo.

And it's still killer.

This isn't a one-off, running on the ragged edge, ultimate effort. It's the beginning of a new platform.

I agree from past knowledge of Ford's designs and builds this is the most likely scenario.

That... And the fact that Ford is doing exhaust yoga with the gt350 header design. Lol. It's pretty creative.

You really think they detune the engine to leave more for later?

Yep. They are not going to come out with all their guns a blazing on a first year release. There is some left on the table, for sure.

There are a lot of reasons for it.

One is to leave a lot of margin for error.

Another is that, yes, Ford actively works with the aftermarket and is more aware now than ever that it's not just the factory output that matters, but consumer satisfaction in a variety of ways. And in an enthusiast market, that means more than just what you get from the factory.

And yet another is to have an upgrade path. As there is currently no next ten American competitor to the gt350, it seems it would guarantee an upgrade in the future.

A better question would be, do you honestly think they tuned this thing to the max and that's what they got?

Lol.

they wont release it as a 600hp beast...but I can easily see them adding 15-25hp for a mid model refresh
