No worries. I have been trying to muster up an excuse to drop the Fusion and get a GT. Right now it doesn't make sense though. I am trying to hurry and pay off the explorer so I can buy a Mustang and keep the Fusion as a DD.

Oh this thread is going to make some people mad LOLOLOL

Nice combo, the ceramic seats go so well with the guard.
Anybody who gets mad is a fool. If I had the money, I'd do the same thing. Don't get me wrong, I love my car, and I love that EB motor. What a bargain! But I'm in it because I'm a cheapskate and refuse to finance anything. It's a compromise (but a good, fair one).

If I had the cash, I'd be down at the dealership right now, picking up a 5.0.

Congrats to the OP!

I traded my 2013 Fusion for my GT. Very happy.

Nice car. I love my ecoboost. Did you get a good test drive in on the ecoboost before you bought it?

I actually traded a 14 GT (Base) for it. I loved the EB but I guess I missed the Coyote more. The S550 is a great chassis with and motor in it.

When we were deciding which engine to get in the little woman's DD/GG, we looked at total cost of ownership over 8 years, and the difference just wasn't great enough too justify NOT getting the Coyote! A few grand ain't gonna break the bank when you are buying a legend-in-the-making. Yes, you pay more up front, and you have to fill up more often, and pay more insurance, but it will ALWAYS be worth a WHOLE LOT more when you get tired of swallowing your tongue every time you stand on the throttle.

Not when the choice is EB and own free & clear, or 5.0 and owe the bank. To hell with car payments. I like knowing the car is really MINE. Even to those people who hate the EB (not saying you do)... I would say the same. "You think my car is slow as sh*t? Fine. It's MY slow-as-sh*t car."

Congrats,

I also traded in my eco boost for a GT this weekend. My ecoboost started knocking on the lower end at 2000 miles, the dealer found metal in the oil filter and started to take apart the engine. I decided to make the swap. Here is the ecoboost.

Nice car! Your Ecoboost was knocking, though? Did they ever tell you what was going wrong with it?

There is the real reason. You can be honest among friends.

PS. Don't sweat the EB junkies swearing you did wrong.
hhahahahaha exactly... I am guilty of doing the same thing... "yea the payment was too high so I turned it in" then turned around and got another car I wanted hehe.

It's a little more than a few grand. It's like $6000 minimum upfront. Add in the increased gas use and the more expensive insurance then it is north of 10k. That's nothing to sneeze at in my world.
