Buy a $35,000 car and start drilling, cutting and filing the grill because you think Ford didn't think about proper air flow?

I agree. People think they are smarter than Ford engineers and hack on their car to run and get groceries. :headbonk:

Unless you are running boost you don't need a bigger air opening. The air damn running to the filter is not operating in a vacuum if you do not open if the grill- ie. it's not air tight against the grill where that is the only possible air entering the air box.

But hey your money your grill. When you go to trade it in and they inspect and low ball you a few hundred bucks for hacking up your grill with a dremel don't be shocked. better off buying an aftermarket grill (or a 2nd OEM one cheap/used) and keeping the OEM in stock shape.

When washing the stang this morning i noticed my stock grill is already opened on the driver's side only in front of the air box.....anyone else notice that?

That's normal, but what guys are going is opening it up more by hogging out some of the closed honeycombs.
