How difficult is it to replace the HID headlight bulbs

Want to up the temp of the HID lowbeams. How difficult is it too access them? I've read that a brace needs to be removed if you're going in from behind the wheel well. I'm going to have my bumper off for a splitter install. Would that make it easy to swap them out?

I have the same question actually... I have read online that it should be easily accessible... I found that I can reach the cover and take that off... I can see the bulb and now trying to figure out how it releases... I have found some articles online that state there is a locking mechanism that needs to be rotated counter clockwise. I will give it a shot again tonight.. If anyone has any info on this, it would be great help...

I bought the bulbs from Diode Dynamics... Hopefully they will chime in with some installation instructions...

It really shouldn't be too bad

5000K is pure white FWIW. That's what I personally prefer

The whole bump had come oft to change balbs?

5k is what I installed on my last car. Looks sweet and vision is great.

You can change the bulbs from the wheel well. Just turn the wheel all the way in and loosen the plastic wheel liner and you can get to the back cover pretty easy. Swapping out for 5k CBI bulbs was one of the first things I did.

I highly recommend the Osram CBI bulbs. They are expensive, but they are one of those items that you really do get what you pay for.

I rechecked and apparently the DS3s aren't 5500k like the OSRAM DS2s. 5000K is correct.

Yep - and that's a really good price; they were a lot higher when I bought them last year. :(
