$57 for the tips, $12 for the 304 stainless rod that became the exhaust hangers, and about $100 for the stainless steel mandrel bent pipes. So about $170 total!

Sounds very, very good! But until I hear and interior video... That thing has massive drone !!! ;)

What resonator tip did you use (brand and p/n)?
Did you give the vendor the angle to bend your pipe, or choose from a selection? The pipe seems to flare just before tip's weld. Is that just an illusion?
Did you use 3/8" hanger rod?

Awesome job, sir! :D
And for the cost part, you did the installation, welding, etc. correct? So us mere mortals would need to add labor to install hangers, tips and attach to factory pipes.

Thanks! Interior video coming tomorrow!

Tips used: DC Sport EX1012

I created a blueprint basically with the dimensions and calculated the angles needed and gave that to the vendor to bend. The added bonus was that he did flare the ends to allow the pipe to fit over the OEM 2.25" pipe. As for the hangers, I used .5" 304 stainless rod stock and bent it with a normal hand held propane touch.

And you are correct! I did all of the install and welding myself. I would imagine this would run you $200-$250 total for an exhaust shop to do.

I'll say the same thing I said a few months ago...sell these! The only thing you'll need to do to speed up the fab process is make a jig for the hanger rods. We have ourselves a regular entrepreneur over here...

Would you say the 2 1/4" i.d. was a fair fit more than 2.25" so as to slip loosly over a 2.25" pipe? I'll be tryiny to find a tip with an i.d of 2.55 -2.56" right now to 'test fit' inside my 4" tips. I'll likely cut of my MAganaflow 4" i.d. tips an slip a bolt on 2.5" tip ove the muffler end, but wnat to test before commiting to that. ;)

I think the tips will work as I had about 1/8" clearance around the 2.25" pipe. So the inlet diameter should be close to 2.5".

Did you just walk into a nearby Pep Boys and they had those tips or did you have them order them for you. If you find yourself with one off the car, could you measure the i.d. with a caliper. If it is 2.565", I'll try to get a pair at a Pep Boys store or online.

I was able to walk right in and buy them. You should be able to do the same!

Usually I hate exhaust for V6 engines, since it sounds like a 4 banger above 2000 RPM.

Although, TBH this sounds really good. How loud is it? Legal?
