Catback vs. Catted Headers Sound

I really like the sound of the Ford Racing Sport Catback and Stainless work Catback and want to know, Do adding aftermarket headers change the exhaust sound completely? I was looking at the Stainless works FULL system. I just want to get headers for the power gains mainly. I don't want it to be TOO crazy

Side question, What are average power gains for adding aftermarket headers?

Yes long tube headers will change the exhaust sound. In my experience it made the system louder.

headers makes it louder and extra horses are a plus... i have o/r headers and corsa cat back.. sounds crazy loud WOT and no Drone... really happy w it..

First performance mod to the car was a full off-road ARH system with no tune. Car went from 371 RWHP to 400RWHP. Dyno runs were same day but have to be taken with a grain of salt. Who knows how much was the exhaust and how much was condition changes (in either direction). The reason for no tune was as soon as the car came off the dyno the SC install started and the SC tune was used.
Sound is obviously subjective but I really like the way it sounds and yes, Coyotes with headers make a different noise. Not sure on the catted vs. non-catted. I'm sure there is some sound change but there is no way to qualify and quantify without listening to a side by side comparison.
I will say this, after having and listening to headers I wouldn't change to anything else.

I personally liked the full ARH setup, we gained crazy power, have zero drone and its actually not extremely loud. The SW sounds pretty damn awesome as well but is a bit louder than the ARH setup. Loudest system so far that we've heard is Corsa with off road SW headers.

Ditto on the drone with the full ARH system. None. Nice healthy burble at cruise and wails at WOT.

I have stainless works exhaust system going on the car within the next week. Cant wait . Terry at beefcake racing helped me make my mind up on what to go with. Cant wait to get them on!
