I have a roush axle back now that I love. Stock resonator. I'd like to eventually add headers but I know it would be way too loud. Especially since idd add an H pipe with the headers. My question is, what exhaust can I use with the headers to keep it from being too loud. Preferably how the roush alone sounds.

Go back to the stock mufflers first then determine how much louder the headers are, go from there. Headers make the car much much louder, with the Roush mufflers it will be unbearable for many people.

The problem with stock exhaust and headers it that it sounds HORRIBLE. It's full on Rasp at that point so maybe some folks are into that. Here's a video. :barf:

The full ARH system sounds sick and in my opinion isn't too loud. No drone as well. Here's a video we made of our car which should give you a good idea of what it will sound like.

Give us a call if there's anything we can help you with and don't forget about our Veterans Day sale which ends at midnight tonight.

Thanks, Jared

You do have some choices,

Here is our full ARH with Corsa Touring Mufflers: [ame] It is loud but quiet in the cabin.

Here is our full ARH setup with ARH mufflers: [ame]

Keep in mind that this video is with catless headers, adding cats will quiet it down about 2 decibels.

Both setups had zero drone, sound incredible and we continue to get compliments on a daily basis.

There are a couple other choices

Stainless Works sounds amazing and doesn't produce unbearable drone.

At cold start it's LOUD, but after 20 seconds or so it sounds very close to stock at idle.

Looks like the ARH Catback is the only deep exhaust with no rasp and no drone. My ears seem particularly tuned to the raspy sound or flappy fart sound as I hear it. I think if I did headers with it I would need some addition mufflers put inline.

I just put my catless arh headers on matched with a Gibson exhaust and it actually sounds good. Before with just the Gibson I had pretty bad drone at 60 in 6th and now with the headers it went away. The car is loud when you want it to be loud but when your just driving it sounds tame. I bet the roush axle back with the catted arh system with the h pipe would sound amazing.

I thought that was your car in the video at first.... I don't think my setup is raspy (at least what I consider raspy). We need to get together one day and compare setups, hear how they sound back to back.... not too far from AA, MD

If I held off on the headers and went roush axle backs with H pipe resonator delete, how loud would that be? Compared to just the roush with stock resonator

headers would wake up the sound, you can always do the catted.
