I own a 2015 V6, which comes with SYNC (not MyFord Touch, since I don't have the Premium options).

I paired my phone and connected it to the car on the first day without any issues whatsoever. Now, almost a week or two later, my phone keeps failing to connect. The SYNC screen gives a connection error whenever it tries to connect. I managed to fix it once by restarting my phone, but never again since then. To me, it sounds more of a phone issue, but I'm not entirely sure.

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4, by the way, with Android 4.2.2.

Anyone else experiencing similar issues? Any suggestions?

Hard to explain it. I had the same issue with my Galaxy Note 4 which is basically a beefed version of the S4 plus some. I fixed this issue by deleting the phone off the sync on my Ecoboost Mustang and then wiping my phone. From a techie view I figured it was the phones software conflicting with the Bluetooth feature. So I just moved all the files from my phone to my laptop and wiped my phone back to factory. Fixed the issue and its a hassle to do. If that doesnt fix the problem take it back to the dealership for a check on the software update for the radio.

My Samsung Galaxy S5 with Lollipop connects every time. Strong and solid and I love being able to use the hands free calling mode.

Much better than our Toyota ever was.

So the problem fixed itself, it seems. For now, at least. Today when I started the car, everything was fine again.

Yah, the more I think about it, the more I think it's a phone issue the way it just fixed itself. Though it doesn't make sense why I never had this problem with my previous car (although the Bluetooth connection on my previous car took ages to actually connect every time you started the car).

It might even be a conflicting service on the phone, which blocks the connection somehow, and it's only affecting SYNC. This would explain why your issue was resolved after a wipe.
