The hell..
Only 201 miles and just got a check engine light. I have yet to even try going above 4k rpm or wide open throttle, been babying the car. Haven't even looked under the hood yet. What could it possibly be? Any guesses??

I thought maybe fuel cap but nope, it's capless and I haven't even filled up once since buying the car.

Only thing I can think of is bad gas from dealership. If it's not that then I don't want to know what a cel at this mileage could be. The power and engine seem fine..

If the car runs fine, go to autozone or something and have a code pulled.

200 miles... I take it you just bought the car today?

I'd take it to the dealer. I'm almost at 5,000 miles and haven't had one yet...

I bought it a few days ago. Spent over 3 hours detailing it yesterday... Better not be a lemon. I guess I'll go and get the code pulled. I have an obd2 reader but just when you bed it, it disappears. Please don't be a lemon..

Code p0300 random misfire
I bought a new car so I don't have to deal with the crap I used to when I had purchased used. Quite annoying to day the least.

They're all booked or closed until Monday. Is it safe to drive the car for the weekend or...?

Apparently I'm not the first with this problem and it's not limited to ecoboost models

Very common. Read the issues, recalls, etc forum. That's why I'm holding off on buying one.

If you're still holding off on buying one because of that stuff then you're really missing out for no reason. People come to these forums specifically because they've encountered an issue which makes it look like it's happening to more people than it is. I'm also at 5,000 miles and the car drives perfectly

Fill it up with some good quality 93 octane. It might just be the crap gas that the dealerships pump them full of.

If you really wanted to while you're waiting, you could check the gap of the plugs and make sure they're set properly. Some members have reported that the gap of the stock plugs vary pretty wildly. Othe

I only get 91 here in CA but maybe I'll just do that. I have no assurance that the dealership filled it up with anything higher than 87. They didnt charge me for gas. But based on the threads with the same problems, no one has posted why this is occurring.. agh

Hey dabsevo don't freak out I had that happen to me as well at about the 300 mark after I filled it with 93 never had an issue since I believe these things have a tendency to run a bit rich and with low miles the computer is learning

Don't know why people think just because a car is new that it can't have issues. If new cars didn't have issues they wouldn't come with warranties

Thanks dude, I'm going to re-fill with the highest grade octane and with Chevron and reset the code. Hopefully it'll go away by monday. It runs fine itself.

I'm just worried about having my car sitting in the shop with less than 300 miles with the dealer not knowing whats going on. I want a EB mustang bad, but dont want to have it sit a the dealership for months getting fixed.
