Not trying to sell anyone's product, but keep in mind if you add a check valve to the intake manifold when you go in boost and the valve closes you'll start pushing oil back the other direction and it will go into your intake right before the turbo. Only solution I know of is a second vacuum source like UPR uses or a second can on the other side of the system.
super duper thread jacking here - I apologize
read up here
interesting stuff from a very talented young man

Well said, I am developing a new line mod for the dual valve setups. As we have already seen a few of the single valve style catch cans on ecoboost motors push oil out the clean side right into the intake tube before the turbo.

I will have a simple line mod for you. PM me.

why would you need a line mod for your dual valve set up?

of course a single valve will push oil in the intake tract - it's what the OEM config does:mullet:

Well....installed this tonight and wow, what a PITA; the green plastic clips that hold the line onto the male part is extremely hard to get to seat/clip, there is no room to get a second hand in there and the angle has to be almost perfect to seat the hose closest to the pulley/serp belt; then come to find out I don't have the correct silicone adapter, I have an aftermarket CAI so be sure to tell UPR what coupler you need when you order it as I was not asked what I had.

So...I hope I don't throw a CEL while waiting for the correct coupler to arrive from UPR since I am not taking all that crap back off and putting the stock line back on...unless I have to; the line I don't have on is the one coming off the can pointing toward the back of the car and connects to the silicone adapter going into the turbo.

The lines are a little bit of a PITA. As far as leaving a line off... Did you mean the line in the back towards the firewall? Because the top of the can is the dirty line. The back line closer to the firewall is the one that goes to the adapter.

Also, the green clips are easy. Just make sure you get them ready beforehand. You pull back and move the tabs into position, but not so much that they clip. Once it's on, push the clip all the way into a locked position.

I figured out the clip after about 30 mins of trying everything I could do to get the coupler over the nipple.

The line I have "open" is the one coming off the nipple pointing toward the rear of the car and is supposed to connect to the nipple on the silicone coupler that attaches to the turbo.

Greg,

Just install the WOT line backwards and the one way valve will keep it leak free. After I saw this when I logged on I already made up the Airaid Couple package and shipped it priority to you. No need to call as it has been handled and I will update your tracking as soon as it's available.

Debated on whether to send this in a PM or say in public and I am saying it in public so the next person installing the kit knows.

1. Recommend marking the each line somehow so we know which on is the dirty/clean. Joe sent me the link to the YouTube video on how to install it but he never shows which one is clean/dirty and they are close in length. It is also hard from the video to see which end goes on the CC and the other to the ports on the car, I had to watch the video a couple of times and focus on which end went where. The green clip ends are the ones that connect to the ports on the car.

2. There are very small arrows that are on the check valves-the check valves are the black fittings built into the line-and the arrows HAVE to be pointing AWAY from the catch can or it will not operate correctly. I was unaware to check for this until another forum member told me about it.

3. Ensure when people order the CC to ask what intake they are using to ensure they don't have the same issue I did.

4. Include something that resembles directions even if it means including the web address of the YouTube video; the install may seem simple/straight forward to you guys but you have been installing/removing the parts for a while and is easy for you, for the customer we don't have that luxury.

Ok so what am I missing about the upr cc? I know Joe mentioned that they are trying to fix something about the can & boost affecting it? So the arrows should be pointing away from the can?

Thank you for the constructive help.

Changes coming today that clearly identifies the lines.

2. There are very small arrows that are on the check valves-the check valves are the black fittings built into the line-and the arrows HAVE to be pointing AWAY from the catch can or it will not operate correctly. I was unaware to check for this until another forum member told me about it.

We are in the process of having white arrows laser engraved on the check valves to eliminate any confusion.

3. Ensure when people order the CC to ask what intake they are using to ensure they don't have the same issue I did.

Updating the website and order process to make sure the drop down the correct silicone coupler for each intake tube is listed for the sales team and our customers.

4. Include something that resembles directions even if it means including the web address of the YouTube video; the install may seem simple/straight forward to you guys but you have been installing/removing the parts for a while and is easy for you, for the customer we don't have that luxury.

Putting installation sheet together right now.
I will post the update on the things I'm working on as they are finished.

Joe

Thanks Joe!

Forgot to mention one other thing; in the video it shows you removing and re-installing the 8mm strut tower bolt to attach the CC to but in the box of parts I received an allen wrench, a bolt/washer/nut that I assumed was for installing the CC to the strut tower...?
