Lol, been on the phone about it for over an hour. Ford looks to be going all in. Noticed a 1 or two second screen alluding to racing engine development during Daytona and was like wtf was that about. This announcement explains it. The big question is will it or is it intended to tie in with a hybrid supercar at some point...

I’ve got Ford V. Ferrari playing in the background while I’m working this afternoon in honor of this announcement LOL. Would be cool if Ford can win LeMans outright again. Unfortunately the hypercar segment is the only real chance these days. GTD Pro cars aren’t fast enough to win outright. Would be cool if the Mustang wins the GTD class and the new LMDh car wins outright in the same year at some point. Might be wishful thinking but would be cool nonetheless

Yeah they announced sometime last year that they were partnering with Red Bull and getting into F1. Pretty cool stuff, love to see it. Hopefully there’s a trickle down effect to some future offerings to the masses from all this racing stuff (and not just a $325k GTD).
