I just want to know how far the 2015 mustang GT/Ecoboost goes on a single tank of fuel. My girlfriends fiesta goes around about 750 kms or 469 miles in one tank. How far does the mustang go?

All contributations appreciated!

Filled up yesterday with the computer saying I had 20 miles to empty, after 186 miles. Only took 13.4 gallons to fill up, so I'm sure I actually had more than 20 miles to empty. 50% highway miles, but probably 90% of the time the engine was running was city, tons of idling.

Don't expect Fiesta mileage from any Mustang.

So you only went 186 miles/297.6. Geez, I thought it would of at least gone 650km. But how many miles are on your mustang?

Yes I know not to expect 4 cylinder milage from an 8 cylinder. But I thought it would of gotten close. Does anyone have mileage of highway driving?

1600 miles. It really depends on your driving conditions. If you're just doing straight highway miles, you can probably get 600 km.

It depends. Highway a lot more, city less. GT more gas, Ecoboost must closed to a Fiesta since its 4 cylinder.

GT expect mixed a19 mpg (15 city, 25 highway). Ecoboost about 25mpg (21 city 32 highway). These are the government ratings.

Miles per tank also means nothing without knowing the size of the tank. 469 miles on 16 gallons is a lot different than 469 on 12 gallons (10 miles per gallon).

I think my very first fillup at the dealership with like 3-5 mile son the car said 269 miles to empty but even that adjusts to driving habits.

The ecoboost tank is 15.5 gallons so expect around 350 miles per tank using the average 25mpg, more on the highway less city.

Also dont just look at mpg though, the Ecoboost MUST use 93 premium fuel while the GT can get away with 87, because of the turbo on the Ecoboost.

A lot of things to factor in there. The GT gas using 87 may actually cost the same to go the same distance as the Ecoboost.

I drive mostly highway typically 70-75 mph. About 15-20% city depending upon the week. I've been getting about 380 miles (Just over 600km) on 14 gallons on average. Just under 1400 miles right now total. This is with the EB and PP manual.

To further that tough though:

I'll use my closest station as an example. 87 is $2.30 per gallon. 93 is $2.70.

I'll use 15.5 gallons- the full tank size for both just for example purposes.

At those prices, the Ecoboost costs $41.85 to fill up and using the avg 25mpg goes 387.5 miles on that tank.

Since the GT uses 87 at $2.30 per gallon, it would cost $35.65 to fill up and using the 19mpg average goes 294.5 miles.

But that gas price different is $6.20 which buys you 2.7 more gallons of gas in the GT and go another 51 miles.

So for the same price the Ecoboost goes 387.5 miles, and the GT goes 345.5 miles; not a huge difference at the end of the day.

People seem to forget this when looking solely at mpgs- the GT can run on cheaper 87 gas (up to premium if you wanted or have a tuned car).

Haha, I'll have to take my 67 for a drive and see how far that goes. It was actually not used that much before It was put in a scrapyard. It only had 120000kms on it when I bought it. Still a good car.
