Active Exhaust Retrofit

I sent an inquiry to LMR this morning asking if they could develop a stand alone kit with module, motors, wiring and key fobs to retrofit GT active exhaust for the Mustang. I put an aftermarket kit on my C6 Corvette ten years ago where you use oem mufflers/less actuators and wire it up?
Ten years ago a good friend showed up with his new 2016 350R and dual active exhaust and impressed me with his active exhaust. I took him to my garage and fired up my 2005 Corvette and he was blown away that I had active exhaust.

Requires PCM programming change (tune) to activate feature and not all Mustangs have the correct wiring/relays/fuse in place to add a kit to.

Not talking about utilizing the PCM or existing wiring. Stand alone system with it's own module for control. Requires a 12v hot and ground. Separate key fobs for on and off.

Someone here on this forum did exactly what you are talking about. They wired it to a switch on the dashboard. I cannot find the thread however.

I converted a Roush dual stage exhaust to an active system that is operated by a toggle switch. Here is the 1st step video. The rest are located on my youtube channel


I must add that with the Roush exhaust with the OEM resonator valve closed it is about the same as the OEM non active exhaust, and with it open ,Well watch the 2nd video. I also have a DB sound check with the OEM exhaust with a Steeda x-pipe
