Awesome! Maybe adding another layer over the sharpie to protect it from water damage would increase it's lifespan. Don't know if it'll fade the color out though.

If anything it would make the color brighter. More white light through a gel, the lighter the color will be.

Zombies stickers do the same thing but will last. Great diy job but zombies stickers are worth it.
Thats where i got my idea from because when i was a kid i used to color tape and put them on my glasses to watch 3D videos so i thought the same would apply here

How long last a Sharpie? You can use nail polish too. Maybe a green drink bottle? (cut out what you need.)

This would be a cool way to get some of the other colors that aren't available in vinyl. I know there are a LOT of Sharpie colors out there, compared to the translucent/transparent vinyl colors.

To be honest, this is what I started with first when I got Zombie home in earlier October. I used a clear vinyl, and hand colored it. I was more worried with how long the color would last with washes, and I wanted something easy to change out (because I kept changing my mind on the color) so I went the route I did. :)

A guy here sells stickers for like 5 bucks a piece lol. He might get a little mad at your DIY lol.
 Nah.. its not like I make mad $tack$ with the stickers. I did it mostly because other owners wanted them. :) I did finally pay off the initial vinyl investment.. which impacted my Mod fund
