Really? You're calling the Miata a girl's car when you drive a Mustang? I really don't believe in the whole "girl's car" vs "guy's car", but so many people these days refer to a Mustang as such and you are going to tell someone to stay away from the Miata for being a girl's car lol.:headbonk:
So, you don't believe in "girl" cars? So you'd have no problem driving a VW Beetle with nice pretty flower in its flower holder & some of those "eye lashes" around its headlights?

I've owned two Miatas, ('94 & '01) and can honestly say they are brilliant machines. Bulletproof reliability, a blast to drive, and I found them comfortable even at 6'-0" and 225 lbs. (back in the day, lol). Totally different from a Mustang, but every bit as much fun, IMO.

The 2016 Miata and the 2015 Mustang convertible were the only two cars I was considering this time around...until the Miata was unveiled. I'm sure it is mechanically the best Miata yet, and will be a ton of fun, but I just can't stomach the new look. :barf:

Lots of people do like the way they look, however. To those people, I say "go for it" If you can fit in it, you will have no regrets! Or "ragrets".

The only reason people settle for a Miata is because Mazda refuses to bring back the RX-7.

No, seriously, a Miata sounds like a fun little car but i would only consider one if I planned to open a hair salon and became a "hair stylist"

I kid, I kid :D

Tempted to paint my car hot pink after I get my blower installed and troll all the insecure people in the world after reading this thread.

I have a coworker who drives an Electric Smart car with a Hello Kitty wrap on it. He is 6'5", easily 300lbs and a former Secret Service agent. I wouldn't make fun of what he drives.

If you're going to dress it up like a girls car, then yes, we get to call it a girls car. But hey, I've also seen pink Mustang's and pink Cadillac's.

It's got nothing to do with insecurity. I'm just saying some cars are "geared" towards women...Beetle, Kia Soul, Nissan Cube...just to name a few.

TBH though, other than minivans and CUVs I wouldn't say cars are geared toward one or the other. The Soul and Cube (as well as anything Scion) are advertised/designed primarily for younger millennials.

I guess we just perceive vehicles differently.

Hell yes you should consider the ND, and the only people that need some sense talked into their heads are the people ragging on it ITT.

Or maybe they don't need sense talked into their heads. Maybe they just need a chance to see what it's like to drive a lightweight, short wheelbase car. I bet that Miata will be a dream to hoon around on back roads. It would make my GT feel like a tank.
