Hi all first post here! I have been looking to buy my GT 350 for a little while now. Looking from 16-18, if 16 will need to have the technology package. For the price point I’m looking, which has been in the mid to upper $40’s, I’ve found a handful of cars with clean carfax but mileage anywhere 40-60k. I don’t plan on tracking the car necessarily, just plan on enjoying weekend drives and going to owner events etc. Any concerns buying a vehicle with mileage in that range? Also, I will certainly look on the classifieds section here, however if anyone has any good places to look for a car or knows someone selling, please message me. Thanks all, glad to be on here and look forward to hearing back!

If it's been treated well, I wouldn't have too much concern. I would ask for an oil test (NOT from Blackstone, someone more reputable and detail oriented like SPEEDiagnostix or similar).

You obviously know the concern about oil consumption, the diff colling problem of the early tech pack cars (2016). I would also see if hubs have been replaced yet. The replacement hubs seem to be more robust than factory hubs. If they haven't know you will likely have wheel bearing issues. Other ancillary stuff includes the AC compressor failures, but I wouldn't let the hubs or AC be a dealbreaker. Just more of a know what you are getting into issue.

I’ve noticed a few I’m looking at say “tuned for e85” why would someone want to do that? Also I’m ideally looking for stock or close to stock car. Is a modded gt350 less desirable overall?

I think it might add horsepower.
For me, stock as well. I don’t plan to track it, so I have no need to lower it or do any horsepower changes.

So…. I came across what looks to be a super clean 2016 from a private seller. Car looks to be immaculate but has almost 100,000 miles on it from my research sale price should be around $30,000… I’m not really searching for cars anywhere near that mileage but if it was purchasable for that price, would you do it? Or just too many miles? My gut says the mile is too high, but would love everyone’s thoughts.

I've got a 35k mileage 2016. Runs perfect. Only thing that every went was the starter after almost 10yrs. Avoid modified tuned cars. You'll be fine. Obviously review carfax and oasis and test drive.

Yea but this one I found has 100k… assuming way to high? Only reason I would even consider is if I could get it for the right price.

If the price is right. 🤷‍♂️

If I wanted a GT350 and could only afford 30k, I'd buy it.

My budget is in the mid to upper 40s so really wasn’t looking for anything with this type of mileage, however, came across the car and then did research on the value…. if he would take 30 or close to it…. do you buy it is my question

Depends. Would have to see it's history and what the undercarriage looks like. Rust, leaks, interior wear, body.

Assuming the car is as clean as it looks and checks out, do you buy one at that price with that high mileage?
