Because it was the US tax payer that bailed them out.Out of genuine curiosity, what's the problem with GM opting to build the Camaro in Canada?

Haha. The challenger was always last in the sales graph!January 2015 Delivery (sales):
Mustang January 2015 Deliveries (actual sales):8,694 124% (Pr Ye)
Compared to Competition:
Camaro January 2015 Delivery (sales): 4,991 6% (Pr Ye)
Challenger January 2015 Delivery (sales): 4,592 87% (Pr Ye)
I work for the 3rd largest Mustang dealer in the entire 5-state Pacific NW region (based on 2014 calendar year sales). We're completely sold out of new 2014 Mustangs. 99.9% of the new Mustangs we've sold since November have been 2015's. There are less than 1,000 new 2014's left nationwide so most dealers are sold out of them just like we are. While one data point being Shown has an almost 5x uptick, remember that certain data Isn't being shown.
- Not just a new refresh, the 15' Mustang is a new Nomenclature. That means dealerships have only One Year to get all of their old 14's off the lot, and Fast! In the past, they could afford to keep cars like the Boss and GT500 for a few years, but now, with GT350(&Rs) announced and on the way (much earlier than anticipated), rebates for All 14's are coming faster than virgins on prom night.
- This display/data point of # of Mustangs sold in Jan is a great way to show early success of a redesign or overall brand loyalty, but really it's just a ton front-end rebates on old models: the typical cyclical rotation of redesigned cars under 50k.

Thanks for bringing facts:cheers:I work for the 3rd largest Mustang dealer in the entire 5-state Pacific NW region (based on 2014 calendar year sales). The great Mustang sales numbers the last two months have been result of an awesome new 2015 model, not leftover models with big rebates.
What's really funny is going over to Camaro5 and reading what they have to say
I'm curious about this as well.Do we know the split between V6/EB/GT sales? Last time we had that info was in Nov I think.
Hey Pill, In the past couple of years or so I have been noticing you post on the same forums as I. camaro5, svt, mustang6g, camaro6g. Anyways I notice you tend to get a lot of heat for your intelligent posts, you tend to be right more then not in your debating. I have never noticed any negativity from you, so keep up the good work and keep them posts coming, Anyway I just got banned on camaro5 because I was simply disagreeing with one of there posters, anyhow they threw a couple of cheap shot at you in this..... thread.http://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=393286&page=3That is a good point and I do keep it in mind. I believe the initial stock is just shipping over as we speak. There is absolutely no data on Mustang sales abroad nor could we really use another local model as a template. The only exception would be Falcon sales in AU, 35,000 last year I think. If sales reach that number, on top of the US's 80,000, it will be difficult to compete with Mustang sales. China, EU and where ever else it's heading may put a sales title out of reach...
...especially if the 6th Gen looks like a 5th Gen and nobody cares. People are not buying 5th Gen's because the 6th Gen is coming. People just aren't buying Camaro's anymore. We're they thinking that the Camaro product life was indefinite?
Only on Camaro5...

I'll send you a PMTo: MagneticA
I am interested in the '15 V6. Can you write a review of your Mustang? I am most interested in comments about the transmission.
