Why Would Anyone Do This Autozone BS?

OK. I get it. We all have different tastes. Sometimes really different. I was taught to "Praise in public and criticize in private."
I was at a car show. Typical shopping area parking lot on a beautiful Friday evening. Probably 100 cars. Mostly higher-end classic muscle with some newer stuff thrown in. One car was a Chrysler PT Cruiser. FULL JC Whitney mode. Made Autozone Overload look like Chip Foose was looking for another Riddler Award. One guy in particular was going off loudly how "That POS has no right to even BE here!" "WTF is this guy THINKING??" Etc.. It belonged to a teenage girl with Down's syndrome. She loved that car!
That was one guy. I DID see several people talking with her later obviously encouraging her to talk about her car and the mods. All this is just to say be careful whom you are criticizing in public.

People do act like they are the ones paying for someone else's vehicle and parts added.

back im my day we had a thread called, "rice if the day" i was quite frequent in. i am sort of a connoisseur of fine rice . that guy would of gotten a entry. lol all my photos were in irl

sigh... people have the same taste in cars as they do in women, you end up looking at the couple walking past where the lady looks 300lbs bigger with a gimp arm and she farts with every step swaying in a god awfull moo moo then the dude is next to her dodging her flapping arm fat drapes from smacking him in the head as she waddles. you just turning your head like a dog in confusion at what you just saw but it makes him happy at the and of the day or just a happy ending ;). one mans fat jiggly tons of fun rice is another mans forum post.

I wouldn’t put that on yourself though and say it’s just elders telling those danged kids they’re doing everything wrong. I’m 26, and my buddies are all around the same age. We have hated this kind of stuff for years. Young guys who are serious about the hobby laugh at useless slap on/stick on stuff too.

You're right. I stand corrected. It's not elders in years. Is it a level of maturity? Because we all know guys of ALL generations that should have better taste, and better sense. But there is TRULY no accounting for taste.

Agreed Too much can be too much... A few tasteful accents here and there are OK, but to go full on sticker mode is a bit much And I am 52, my boy is 25 soon to be 26... Thankfully we have very similar taste

I've helped him a LOT to get it where it is.. Like I said, we have very similar taste so it has come together nicely. He is a "carbon fiber" addict so still have a few things to add on. But luckily it blends really nicely with the iconic silver paint We have tons of friends that comment all the time how well they look going down the road together

To be fair, this isn't autozone crap... its from Bemaro films.
I have an aftermarket Mach 1 front bumper on my gt, and the fog light overlays fit perfectly. Good quality too, Ive had them on the car 2+years and they still look great... they're good quality.

Maybe the guy went a little overboard, but to each his own.

Thank you. Yeah I couldn't get rid of the hood stripe. The sides, they had to go though... All the lower stuff I agree, my stuff gets beat to snot as it is. And the orange overlay over the hood Mach 1 just works. The matte grey peeking thru stock was WAY too subtle for me. I did do some other orange accents here and there Strut tower brace, shift knob, and of course the factory stripe on the seats... AND, I even got shoes to match. Skechers makes some that are pretty close. They are wearing out fast, but I can always buy another pair

Unfortunately these folks don't care who they hurt , no conscience , lack of empathy, no feelings, no remorse , Sociopath . Can never say anything positive . Our club has a couple guys like that , I say hi but don't converse or hang with them .
