Are There Any ESPs Left For MY 2017?

I've been browsing GT350s lately. Although I don't doubt these cars can be reliable in good hands, naturally, I would want a Ford ESP for peace of mind. There are still lots of places that seem to offer ESPs for the 2019s and 2020s. Lombard ESPs for the 2018s. I've been looking at some 2017s, is there anywhere left that still offers ESPs for them? Also, what ESP would you owner's recomend? If I were to buy one, I was thinking the powertrain care, but I know other things can fail in these, such as the AC.

It was black with silver stripes and I loved it. But I sold that one a couple of years ago and now have an Avalanche Grey without stripes. Need to update my picture! Both 2017s

I don’t know if they came from factory black with silver stripes. White yes but not sure about silver - think the previous owner had added them. But it was sharp.

Not apples to apples, but I just bought a 15 GT 'Vert from Koch Ford, PA and had no trouble adding a 4yr/24k ESP... right around 2k.

Go my ‘19 GT350 in November, and just put it on the road. Will be getting an ESP this week. To get any AC coverage, you need at least BaseCare. But there are a few AC things it doesn’t cover. If you want electronics covered, you need PremiumCare. You can see the differences here: https://fordprotect.ford.com/extended-service-plan

PremiumCare is obviously the most expensive, but it covers ‘everything’ (other than shocks, maintenance items and paint).

For any ESP, they offer from 2yrs to 6yrs. A 2yr is pretty reasonable to get into, but 6 will cost you.

The ‘standard’ is a $100 deductible, but they also offer $50 and disappearing. My understanding is, for disappearing you pay $100 deductible the first visit, then $0 there after. Only catch is you have to take it to the dealer that sold you the ESP; if you take it to any other dealer you pay $100 deductible. So if you buy online, don’t get that one. Based on my calculations, the price difference for $50 pays for itself after 3 or 4 times.

Call Granger Ford in Iowa. They will be able to tell you if the '17 will qualify for a Ford ESP.

This is turning out to be challenging. My Ford ESP expires in March 27. In Florida we have regulated fixed pricing Warranty purchasing and must be from an in state vendor. So far Ford and the 3rd party providers I checked will not cover my 8K mile GT350 beyond the current ESP. The Voodoo is an expensive replacement causing carriers to shy away.

I have LOTSOLUTIONS, INC. on my 2018 R, 2100 miles. Haven't had to use them. I've always been uncomfortable with aftermarket warranties, but I did it anyway.

Realize there are there two classes of ESP, ‘new’ and ‘used’. New have a start date from when the car was new, those are cheaper and don’t go back as far. So those can be 8 yrs, but is really just 5 more than factory since you get 3yrs bumper-to-bumper. Used start from the date you sign up, and from your current mileage. Seems price is based on model year and current mileage, which makes sense. Can get a 6yr one. I did 6/40, so am good until 2031 or if I put another 40k on it; which ever comes first.

check the inservice date, you can't buy one on a vehicle that is older then 10 years. 2017 could possibly be more then 10 years old.

My 2018 wasn't sold till 2020 new so mine is covered till 2030 as I bought a 10yr Premium care.

I'd say skip the possible new warranty (they are never good).

You should never buy the GT350 if you can't afford the maintenance.

Gonna have to disagree with this, The majority of posts i’ve see usually say good things about ESPs, any it appears many members on here have gotten repairs warrantied through ESPs. Not really a case of “affording maintenance”, more so a case of, if I can spend a couple grand to possibly save $25,000+ down the line and get a decent bit of peace of mind, might as well
