Track mode and normal mode without traction control for daily use.

The sport and sport plus modes are just odd. The power isn't linear like it is in track mode or normal mode. I like it more consistent. Normal mode isn't that bad as long as traction control is off. The throttle response isn't all that bad. With TC on it's bad in normal mode though. Track mode is great throttle response I think and very linear power which I prefer.

In dry conditions and not heavy traffic I think track mode is just fine. Normal mode to be better on gas BUT no traction control unless it's slick of course. Normal mode without traction control at least you still have Advance track to keep you in check.

I grew up on overpowered pony cars without any computers so I'm still trying to understand how all the nannies function. With so many videos of the crazy Mustang drivers spinning into the curbs and crowds leaving car shows, are stability control and traction control supposed to overcome the laws of physics to prevent off-throttle oversteer and control issues?

A lot of them you see doing that are making turns out of parking lots onto the street and smashing it while turning. Duh that will happen. You would see it a lot more with Camaros if more idiots owned them. The Camaro right off the line is very powerful.

In traffic, I use normal, as it's just a little more mellow when hitting the gas or braking, and without traffic I prefer Sport +. I've got the auto, and have the Ford Racing tune, and I find it to be very responsive in that mode, and easy to drive on curvy roads, etc.

I never use Sport, and rarely use Track, as Sport + works well for me and haven't been in a situation where TC causes an issue.

Track mode always. I want all the fun all the time lol. Drivers assistance is for the other guy lol.
It does seem more consistant with the powerband overall. Linear and predictable, same as normal mode but with traction control off. Normal mode isn't so bad with traction control OFF. Once you smash the gas and it kicks in it scoots. Sport Plus and Sport Mode just seems different. I prefer regular sport model over Sport plus. I mean, the downshifts sound sweet and all. One thing I notice in the sport modes is terrible gas mileage.

Would you say track mode is similar to like a 427 Chevelle SS traction wise? i would think our cars even with track mode still handle far better than the GTOs, Chevelles, Hemi, etc back from the day. Uncle and dad both had GTOS and said how those things were touchy.

You mean normal mode with Shift knob set to S?

Sorry, it's not always clear what all the settings are for different modes. The two drive modes I use are just normal, with the shifter set to D and the switch set to normal, and Sport +, which is the shifter set to S, and the switch set to Sport +. Maybe that's not the only combination for Sport +, but that's what it says on the screen.

I don't use just the shifter set to S by itself, and I don't use Track mode very often.

Sport toggle and Shifter on Sport feels like a more aggressive version of sport (sport toggle with shifter on D) I use the toggle modes, but I do use normal mode and the shifter moved to S for better behavior when I have to go up and down mountains/hills.

I'll agree with you sport is wonky. I wish I could have the lesser traction nannies sport mode offers, but without the pedal feel change.

Track is the best to go with then, but dunno if it's harder on the engine.

Track mode seems just right with how well and predictably the car behaves and responds to my commands, I don't see how there can be anything detrimental to the engine or rest of the drivetrain. However, Southeast Michigan roads are soooooo bad, I can't tolerate the harsh MagneRide tuning for very long so Normal (or tweaked with My Mode) has become my default for street use. The other settings seem unnecessary and even gimmicky.

I realize my situation is different not having the auto or magneride, but I'm emotionally attached to track mode in mine. I immediately go straight to it as soon as I start it. The only thing it does is straighten out the throttle response, stiffen the steering a bit, and open up the active exhaust. I rarely (it does happen) test the limits of adhesion on the street, so it's perfect for my style of driving.

If its raining then normal with traction control of course, but dry conditions I see no reason to not use track more. It's more linear. Normal mode also more linear than the sport modes.
