I have to admit it’s not the most appealing and yes this is the new era that every vehicle will have a digital screen but im my honest opinion ford dropped the ball here,
There is no common sense in putting two mammoth screens inside of a pure muscle car, these cars are built to drive not to play candy crush, but again just my opinion,

For me….it is the lack of the screens being integrated into the rest of the dash. I think the IPads are a fad. I hope they are a fad.

I like Mustangs up to 1970. Didn't really care for them again until the S550 came out. Now that the S650 is out, I'll look for used S550's or classic Mustangs if buying another Mustang. No hate, just not my style.

I’m to old for change. I will keep the one I have. With that said it’s a good looking car. The new buyers today want gadget’s and tech if it keeps the Mustang alive I’m good with that!!

oh so guys who are on a forum for that car like it? no shit? I find that absolutely shocking LOL
also, i got behind the wheel. its garbage.

the beef isn't with digital screens, its with the ipads on the dash. its shitty/lazy packaging.

the S550 digital screen was dope as hell. the new rangers look great. slapping the square screens on a dash is just dumb.
It's also more dangerous than using a cellphone (other than texting). My friend has a Tesla Model X with that huge screen in the center of the dash and fooling with it while driving. Needless to say, he climbed a median curb and scraped both left side rims and peeled a bit of the sidewall of both tires (the jarring of us occupants wasn't enjoyable either). Those touchscreens should be set up such that if the vehicle is moving at all, you can't select stuff. So many states have laws against using a cellphone while driving, but I think staring at these screens while driving is even worse.

I stopped by the local Ford dealer this weekend to get a part for my F-250 and saw the new 650’s . The Dark horse was the best looking one of the bunch. The new DH interior was not too bad, the overall body and rear end not as bad as in photos but that face is something only a mother could love. It’s homely looking. Considering the options out there it would probably be the choice if I couldn’t find another 550 in decent shape. I have no plans on trading my 16’ in for a new one.

I just bought a minty fresh one owner 2019 PP2 over a 2024 GT Premium or Dark Horse. It is worth mentioning the Mustang is my track only car.

1) Yes the iPad dash is ANNOYING, my Bronco has the 12" screen but it is way less in your face than the Mustang's two. I still am not a huge fan of the Bronco's 12" screen, it is just too damn large to be useful, while driving. I do not think I'd ever get used to the new S650 dash. Not a fan.
2) Prices have gone up on the S650. On the Build & Price tool I was around $60k for a GT Premium with Recaros and Performance Pack. Dark Horse was $75k... A used GT350 is less money, but a better car. You can buy a used or leftover Mach 1 for way less money than a new GT too.
3) Aftermarket is fully baked on the S550. Reliability is known.

I just didn't see the value of the new generation, when a minty fresh S550 is half the cost.

It is worth noting that I bought a first year S197 brand new, huge difference from the SN95, exterior, interior, etc.

I bought the 2010 new as well, then a new 5.0 and then first year S550.

Each of those had measurable changes that to me at the time were big improvements over the previous gen.

I actually like the exterior of the S650, it is very modern, cyber punk. Interior, no. God, no.
