The Mach 1 I mentioned earlier sold — all good, something about it just didn’t feel right anyway. I made an offer, seller was firm, so I walked.

I’m finding manuals are tough to come by, but this blue one has my attention: it's also a Florida car so no concerns about rusting corrosion from salt on the road.

Couple questions for those who’ve owned/driven these:
No handling package — deal breaker or not really for mostly street driving?

Cloth seats — haven’t had those in years. How do they compare comfort-wise vs leather?

I had leather Recaros before and loved them, but at 6'3" they weren’t great on long drives. Anyone regret going back to standard seats?

If I wanted to upgrade seats later (OEM leather or Recaros), is that realistic or more trouble than it’s worth?

Appreciate the input — trying to find the right balance between fun and livable.

No concern at all about not getting an HP car. If you decide you want something sportier you can always mod later. FWIW, I have a HP and upgraded the springs and sway bars.

Went from Recaros in my 2018 GT to comfort seats in the Mach and didn’t think twice. Have regretted that decision zero times in 4 years.

Have you joined the Mach 1 Facebook group? If not go ahead and join. People advertise their cars for sale there. I've seen good deals. The non HP is missing the cosmetics and the sticky Cup2 wheel/tires (for the track those are worth it). In reality, if you are buying used, it's unlikely the Cup2s will come on the HP car. Most people fit the Michelin's PS4S.

I'd wait for a manual if I were you... just to avoid the 10R80 reliability issues.

Note that there is an issue with the stock fuel pump.

No handling package is more than adequate for the street and a non-HP car is no slouch on the track either. I'm not sure of your racing background, but unless you are thinking of tracking the car all the time and are a very experience track driver, I doubt you'll notice the difference. Just my two cents. I do wish I had Recaros in my car. But have enjoyed the standard seats for a few long trips I did. I've looked for leather Recaro seats from a wrecked car, they seem to hover around $2k (needing air bags) to $4k. Ford Performance has over the counter seats, but I am not enamored with the color scheme.

Drove 6 hours round trip to look at this one. Checks out well. I noticed the roof is black though, I don't think that's from the factory, would that be paint or a wrap?

It was pretty dirty from pollen, but overall the car looked good and drove well. Since I'm new to Mach 1, anything in these videos I should be concerned about? Otherwise I plan to purchase it.

non HP, HP wheels. aftermarket splitter, aftermarket spoiler.

black roof is probably a wrap,

don't see anything wrong with it, I don't care for the spoiler or splitter that they put on there, but to each their own.

Yes, not a fan of those wheels.

Yeah the rims were bugging me, I didn't know they were aftermarket, and I'm not a fan of the rear spoiler or the black wrap roof, so I may pass on this one.

They’re just that good! lol
The wheels are LMR 19x10 fronts and 19x11 rears
Stock non handling pack came with 19x9.5 fronts and 19x10 rears with Michelin PS4 255/40 and 275/40.
If they were Factory Handling pack wheels they would be 19x10.5 front and 19x11 rears with 305/30 and 315/30 Cup 2s
These look like the LMR handling pack wheels and they went 19x10 front so the wheel didn’t stick out past the fender. Handling pack cars without the wheel lip moldings will stick out a bit.
These are 19x10 with a 285/35 and 19x11 with 325/30. Firestones
Nothing wrong with the wheels, lighter than stock

With the correct or better offset on a aftermarket wheel you can fit a 19x10.5 up front without it sticking out.

If I'm understanding everybody who's replied about the rims, these are better rims over OEM? Wider, lighter better?

yes, in the performance aspect, and look identical/near enough.

Okay, thank you everyone, this explains why the rear wheels looked wider on this car, I did like the look. They are 1 in wider from stock is what I'm reading here.
