I put my search on hold. Recently saw this one, chatted with the dealer, seems like a good car, one owner, Carfax shows a good maintenance history, one minor accident. I don't like the rear window cover vent thing, hoping that would be something easy to take off.
It was priced close to 50...
I appreciate your humor, however, what I was trying to say is I'm not going to run the car hard every weekend, every time I behind the wheel, and track it,, this is more of a leisure weekend driver kind of car that I may decide to track at some point. Will I run it hard, have fun with it, get...
Thanks for the replies, I'm comfortable keeping an eye on the oil, my concern is around longevity, will the engine failing regardless kind of thing. It's difficult to understand why these engines fail if people are keeping up with the oil consumption. Is there something else I'm missing?
Thanks for the replies. For clarity, I have no issues with the oil consumption, this is a weekend driver car and I'm not going to be running it over 8,000 RPMs. I'm more concerned about will the engine need to be replaced at some point. I also think about resale, I usually keep these kind of...
For some context, here's a recent thread of mine

I've test driven three Machs now, and I don't exactly know why, I'm just not feeling it. The...
I test drove a 2023 Mach 1 Alpine white, 700A, with the Handling Package today at a dealership. It had the Michelin Cup tires, and I could definitely feel the difference—more road noise and a lot more feedback through the tires. Not necessarily a bad thing, just more aggressive. For weekend...
There are two alpine white Mach 1s closer to me, both about 3 hours away, and I’m planning to check them out this week. One is a Handling Package (HP) car with a 6-speed (which I prefer), and the other is a non-HP automatic. I’ll likely drive both just to compare.
I’ve been doing more research...
Trying to get information on this one from the dealer, if it checks out, I hope to go see it tomorrow

This one looks like another case where it's a non HP Mach 1, and a previous owner tried to make it look like one by...
@NHMach1 thank you for your thoughtful and detailed reply. I did some research and found what you're referring to, it makes sense now

I've been looking for a Mach 1 closer to stock, they just don't seem to be...
I confirmed today the tires on the car are firestone firehawk Indy 500s. The fronts are 285 35 R19 and the rears are 325 30 R19. Those are even wider and more aggressive than the stock HP ones I think.
@NHMach1 I now see where you previously said that. How did you know how wide the aftermarket...
Okay, thank you everyone, this explains why the rear wheels looked wider on this car, I did like the look. They are 1 in wider from stock is what I'm reading here.
I know the rear spoiler is aftermarket, but how could folks tell the rims and the front splitter are not OEM?
Window sticker reads "19 MAGNETIC PTD ALUM WHL $450"

Yeah the rims were bugging me, I didn't know they were aftermarket, and I'm not a fan of the rear spoiler or the black wrap roof, so I may pass on this one.
Drove 6 hours round trip to look at this one. Checks out well. I noticed the roof is black though, I don't think that's from the factory, would that be paint or a wrap?
It was pretty dirty from pollen, but overall the car looked good and drove well. Since I'm new to Mach 1, anything in these...
The Mach 1 I mentioned earlier sold — all good, something about it just didn’t feel right anyway. I made an offer, seller was firm, so I walked.
I’m finding manuals are tough to come by, but this blue one has my attention: it's also a Florida car so no concerns about rusting corrosion from salt...
After looking more closely and comparing photos, it does look like the car I drove has some HP appearance pieces added (front aero\splitter and rear spoiler). I wasn’t aware of the differences in the front fender flares and the two-lip splitter design until you pointed that out. Would the...
