Not better looking, that's for sure.
Aside from the tail lights of the C8, you really think that an S650 looks better than a C8?? Beauty is certainly in the eye of the beholder, but the Z06 and ZR1's (just 1 so far) that I have seen around here, look better in every way than the DHSC. In fact, I did run into an S650 Shelby GT350 and it looks pretty awesome. Ford should have styled the DHSC more like this to begin with. Will still get smoked by a C8 ZO6, but yeah, it looks good

Painting with a very wide brush here. People shopping the DHSC are most likely Mustang lovers to begin with. Ford isn't marketing to the "I have $170K crowd"....they're marketing to the "I love Performance Mustangs but don't want to spend GTD money" crowd. I find it EXTREMELY unlikely that a person shopping for Porches/Corvettes or whatever is asking "hmm, I wonder if Ford has anything I'd want". When you get into this price point, people are shopping based on brand loyalty or desire. This isn't some mom and dad looking for their next kid-hauler. I highly doubt price-point shopping is what people with DHSC money are really doing. To the bean-counters at Ford those people are a fraction of a percentage.

Auto companies spend millions researching their customer base. And as fiduciaries, they are beholden to their shareholders and boards. They're not going to purposefully invest in new models/trims unless the risk level is acceptable. They've done the research on the DHSC, and obviously, it's a risk they are willing to accept.

I do and It's telling to me there are no rear shots of the Vette where they truly dropped the ball. Compromised giant trunk to fit golf clubs ruined that design overall imo.

Mustang looks like classic American sports coupe.
Corvette now chasing the euro cars, looks more like a McLaren.

I love the looks of the DHSC. I could have bought the C8 at any point in the last 5 years and I have 0 desire to do that for a lot of reasons, looks being one of the biggest.

I don't disagree on this point, the tail lights suck. The problem for me is, the Entire Darkhorse/S650/DHSC design sucks, not just the tail lights

I Agree Shelby did a much better job on the car. And for the first time I remember the Shelby is competitive price wise. They have three versions of the GT350.

I’ve had 4 911s and been on Porsche forums. Trust me, people shopping a 911 GT3 or RS or Sport Classic or Turbo S, are not going to buy any version of the DH. It’s plebeian to them. Barely worth their scorn and contempt.

Well, those cars cost 2x what a DHSC does, so that would make sense

It's funny that you just posted that. I didn't like the S650 at all, until that pic.

Yeah, its the only version I've seen that I would consider. Plus, can be had with a manual

This doesn't make sense by nature of the car being 170k they are automatically always marketing to the "i have 170k crowd"

There is no group of people who do not have 170k and will buy a DHSC. LIke others have said, people sending that type of money on a car look down on a mustang.

Don't let that fool you. That beautiful view will only delight other people, not you. While they admire your car from the outside, you will be looking at the disgusting dashboard and will feel like barfing. 🤓 👿

Not much the aftermarket can do with that

A tuner or body shop should develop an aftermarket dash/display that punts the iPad crap away and makes it look like, a Mustang.
