GT350/GT500 Seats in Mach 1?

I'm thinking about hunting down a set of Shelby Recaro seats for my Mach 1. Imo our cars should have had that option from the factory, and I came up with an idea that I would like to execute. From what I have seen/heard the GT500 seats will bolt up just fine without causing an airbag light. I also remember reading that GT350 seats will also bolt in without issue, but if I remember correctly the 18s and below will throw an airbag code and some parts will need to be swapped for everything to work. However, now I can't seem to find those same threads where that information came from. Does anyone know if a set of Recaros from a 2018 or below GT350 will bolt in to our cars without causing an airbag light? Has anyone swapped in GT350 or GT500 Recaros into their Mach 1 (share photos if you got them)? Were any modifications needed?

You have it correct. Seats will bolt right up. Just change the occupancy sensor in the passenger for 18 and below. 19 - 23 all will work in your car.

Was GT350/500 one year behind, so that model year 2018 is not working out of the box, only 2019+?

Btw. at least over here there was a Recaro option for Mach1.
The same offered for GT and Bullitt from factory and by FP.

Awesome, thank you! That’s what I figured. The image of the design I shared was actually something I made in photoshop a year or so ago. Not real, not yet at least

We also had the same options available in the US. I went with the retro style comfort seats cause the design matched the seats in my 1970 Mach 1. However, if Ford had done some kind of similar stripe design on the Recaros I would have optioned those instead. Personally, I like the feel of the Shelby Recaros more and if I am going to swap seats I would prefer those
