Next one for the ADS treatment.

First time using ADS Clean on the engine bay and I really like it. For dressing went with Meguiars Hyper dressing.

Because Mr. Yum was selling Pressol to Clean Garage in the USA, but OG had (have) the distribution rights to the brand in the US. Pretty clear cut.

We've had this conversation many times before, both on this forum and elsewhere under different user names. It never goes anywhere and unless you have something meaningful to add, I suggest not posting.

There’s a possibility we’ve had conversations in the past but why would you suggest I not post? Doesn’t really make sense to tell someone they just because they might not agree with you

You're conflating business expense with personal expense. Matt owning a Porsche or Rolex has nothing to do with the business. He is on the payroll for the business as the CEO, the money OG makes isn't flowing directly to him. This is actually prudent business practice as it protects him from liability if the company fails. In fact, many of the vehicles he showcases are company assets, not his personal vehicles.

Secondly, he was ALWAYS upfront and transparent about the Pressol project and implicitly warned buyers that they were all beta testers, and if they weren't comfortable with the process, then they shouldn't buy the sprayers.

So I'm failing to see where your rub lies here...is it because he's made himself successful by dedicating himself to his company and taking risks? I'm also failing to see any hypocrisy so a little more clarity on your points would be helpful.
I never knew nor heard that everyone who purchased “the best” sprayers were all beta testers? The part I didn’t like was how everyone was told different iterations were made and released when that wasn’t the case. Pressol has never made any changes and there were no different iterations released. There was just the original models and the current “pro” series which was confirmed after contacting Pressol directly which they verified. I am sure all you’ll say is that I’m a hater and blah blah. Yes, I am a hater of anyone who needs to bend the truth or straight up lie so they can make money. Seeing how you need to resort to calling me a hater must mean you’re a dickrider

Of course you never heard that because you don't watch any of Matt's videos...he stated it NUMEROUS times and it was even posted on the product page. And something I don't ever recall him saying was there were "different iterations" released. So please, Mr. "VERIFY" the source....prove that he has said that by linking to any social-media post, YT video, or other means of communication.

I say you're a hater because you make it plainly obvious.

BTW “Dickrider” refers to someone who excessively supports, defends, or agrees with another person—often uncritically and regardless of whether that person is right or wrong. A person who constantly agrees with, praises, or backs someone up in an exaggerated or sycophantic way.

It implies:
  • Blind loyalty
  • Lack of independent thinking
  • Over-the-top admiration
  • Defending someone even when they’re clearly wrong
And I dare you to prove that I have done so by VERIFYING it through my posts.

But you won't, because you're a troll. Your post count, responses, and attitude confirm it. So buh-bye now. Your opinion is worthless.

why would you suggest I not post?
Because EVERY single one of your posts on this forum are pedantic and inflaming for no reason other than to stroke your own ego and talk trash about Matt or OG...someone with a lick of logical thinking could figure that one out as you have zero posts about anything relating to Mustangs since you joined this forum in 2021. So yes, you're a hater, a troll, and your opinions are useless.

Placed a decent sized order with Waxit on Monday, taking advantage of a trade promotion and a Christmas gift voucher. Some of this is restocking, some new products to test. (Note, the ColourLock stuff came from them directly and not Waxit)

IMG-9889.jpg

Carpro GofX launched at Sema last year and represents a more user-friendly glass polish, anyone who's used CeriGlass will know what I mean here. This product is along the lines of P&S Clarity Creme, which is more a deep cleaner for glass rather than a targeted scratch remover like CeriGlass. You can buy GofX on it own or in kit form as pictured. The kit includes a 150ml bottle of GofX, a microfiber towel, a glass pad and applicator handle.

I also bought a couple of Carpro's new glass cutting pads, which differ from their white Rayon glass pads. I note that these black pads are not recommended for new glass or glass in good condition, they are for targeting swirls and scratches beyond what the white rayon pads can achieve.

And I decided to try yet another headlight coating, this time the relatively new Carpro DLight. This is the marketing blurb....................

"DLight isn’t just another trim or headlight ceramic coating it’s a ceramic-grade solution developed to preserve and protect plastics from the inside out. At its core, DLight is armed with advanced UV absorbers and light stabilisers that shield against UVA and UVB rays in the 260–360nm range, including the most destructive 313nm UVB spectrum. That means better protection from yellowing, fading, and cracking - especially for headlights, PPF, and clear plastics that are prone to aging in harsh climates.

Beyond UV defence, DLight adds hydrophobicity, enhances clarity, and resists fine scratches. It goes on easy, requires minimal effort to level off, and can even serve as a top coat to extend the lifespan of your base layer. Whether you're preserving new PPF or restoring tired headlights, DLight makes it easier to keep plastics looking sharp for years."

I guess I'll find out soon enough if this is just another coating, or if it truly helps extend the time between refinishing the headlights on the Ranger. Note that my 10ml bottle didn't come with a box, just a sealed plastic pouch.

Anxious to see what you think of DLight, and GoFX. I got a bottle of GoFX, haven't tried it yet. Waiting for spring to sprung around here :). Although it was almost 70 F here yesterday, I got mine out and it was bath time yesterday evening :)

Well that escalated and de-escalated quickly.....

Any thoughts on the AR vs. Kranzle video?

Matt has a new Kranzle PW that he hasn't talked about yet. I'm betting he's beta-testing it and giving them feedback before they announce anything. But for now, the AR635 is the new high-flow king but the downside is you have to use their foam cannon until other companies can reverse-engineer their orifice and venturi design. Another downside is anyone with a CR Spotless or other similar DI setup won't be able to use DI water under pressure as they max out at 2.5 gallons per minute. The work around would be to leave the PW off and use static pressure to do the final rinse. Finally, it requires a dedicated 20A circuit to use as it has a steady state of 19.5A with their foam cannon.

But, OG has DI solution that is said to flow more than enough to run dual PW setups with no degradation in deionization.

Active have a 3.0 coming out that should prove interesting.

Honestly, I don't think it really matters which one, both have their charms.

Thing is, I can't really comment regarding the performance because Australian AR and Kranzle machines are much stouter than what you guys get. This whole "pushing things to the max" with the new AR, we get close to that on a Kranzle KHD10, but without the amperage and foam cannon quirks.

If were me in the US, I'd probably buy the AR, simply because your Kranzle's are so lean, even his 1322 spec. If it were me in AU, I like the look and sound of the Kranzle better.

Just a little public service announcement for anyone who uses Koch Chemie Reactivation Shampoo.

This is an acidic soap designed to strip embedded mineral deposits that are clogging a ceramic coating. Those minerals can mask certain characteristics of the coating, namely hydrophobic properties. They can also be used to strip waxes, sealants and Si02 spray sealants. This type of soap has become more popular in recent years, some of it driven from need as ceramic coatings have become mainstream, some of it a marketing play.

IMG-5228.jpg

Reactivation Shampoo was one of the first to follow Carpro’s lead with Descale. Where Descale measures in at 3.7, Reactivation Shampoo is considerably lower, a claimed 1.0. However, when I measured the concentrate, it tested at 0.00. When I diluted it, the pH raised up to the claimed 1.0. That is in contrast to other Koch Chemie soaps, which I find match the claim on the bottle in concentrate form.

Because of that potency, you can’t really eyeball a product like this. For bucket washing, you need to be accurate with your dose rate to water volume. For foaming, a diluted mix of RS will further dilute the product and in theory raise the pH. Either way, don’t mess about with this soap, and probably wear gloves. You can even smell its potency, not unlike a powerful bathroom cleaner, which when you think about it, they are targeting the same issue.

This raises the question of pro-grade products in the hands of weekend warriors like you and I. Personally, I don’t think “we” need this level of potency. Regular washing goes a long way, often negating the need for heavy duty measures like this.

The Ranger's turn today, a bit of a hybrid wash was on the cards.

First, as normal I hosed out the tray. I then went around and foamed all four wheels with Optimum Touchless, then scrubbed each tyre, then rinsed. I'm not impressed with this soap, even on wheels with a healthy coating, it doesn't really do the "touchless" thing. Optimum say this is a pH neutral soap, but I pH tested it today as part of a project I'm working on. Interestingly, in both concentrate and diluted forms, it registered at a pH of 9.0. Yet another "pre-cleaning" decon soap that doesn't really do anything.

From there, I rinsed the car down, then moved back into the garage for a rinse-less wash with ADS Hero, followed by ADS Amplify. As you can see, I had a "helper".......................

IMG-9914.jpg

From there, the door jambs and tray sides were dried with Shine Supply Punch It, glass via Hero at 128:1, Griots Interior Detailer for the inside wipe down, and finally some 1:1 Carpro Perl for the tyres.

Agreed on that one. I keep Descale and RS in the cabinet, and rarely use RS. It is STRONG for sure... :) But when needed for a good strip wash, it works really well.. And measuring, yes, much like Touchless, I am very careful.

ummmmm, excuse me but the forum rules…page 7, section III, subparagraph a and c…specifically detail (no pun intended) the rules when in regards to posting the cutest dog face one has ever seen, without details of said face.

i believe the penalty is something along the lines of “the fleas of 1,000 camels shall infest your bedsheets” or some such 😋
