That's a pretty easy decision, all things considered. No?
Personally I think the GTD has the best front end. When that thing is in track mode, flying down the track.....damn.

When they first posted the SC photos, I was like that's a lot of grill. I have to see this car in person to really pass judgment.

Also,

What are these 2 lights in the grill?

Lol WTF? A "Gonsalves" talking about "Woke". Oh the irony.
might have something to do with the lack of investment in something most American men are really into while investing in things we really aren’t.

Another reason he may have said that is it’s pretty clear that certain ideologies don’t get what we actually want. So they try to pander with Luddite stuff as if crtical-thinkers with a penchant for excellence are somehow Neanderthals who want our cars to have poor fuel economy, dirt everywhere, look old and busted, loud as can be, poor build quality, and the front end of the biggest off road truck they could dig up. What. The. Heck.

In actuality, we want the gorgeous sleek looks with a touch of rugged masculinity, truly excellent care taken in build quality, chassis design, suspension, aero, power delivery, maximizing the potential of ICE engines (not just slapping on inefficient power), etc. we want our car to have some danged care in its craft and we want it concerted, designed, and built by people who care. Bevause it’s obvious that whoever is doing it now just plain doesn’t. When people care, it doesn’t cost crazy money to get something great. It doesn’t take crazy resources to motivate a team into nation, and it doesn’t result in something you settle for. I can’t count the number of times I’ve revamped entire organizations just bevause I cared so much about what they were doing. It didn’t cost crazy money. It just took heart. That’s something clearly lacking at the moment - apologies to anyone Ford who may be offended by that statement. But it’s true. And it shows.

the branding of the Mach e was a total slap in the face, a stupid Money Gtd that should have been the regular Cobra/GT500 track pack (and priced accordingly with its parts bin drivetrain, regular mustang chassis, old z28 suspension and body kit) was more of a slap in the face, and now the 6 year old gt500 with some tweaks masquerading as something called a “dark horse sc…” it’s too much. And then for Farley to basically admit in public that the mustang doesn’t matter bevause they’re focused on off-road? Yeah… something’s off. Is it the wokeness? Idk. But it’s definitely something in line with what typically comes out of certain ideologies. while merely pandering to the people they think they begrudgingly have to market to in order to stay relevant.

Just a guess. I don’t think he spelled it out super clearly though.

maybe im wrong. But that’s how I read it with the necessary fill-in-the-blanks.
yes we get another supercharged mustang. No it isn’t really something to be crazy about. It’s a dark horse with the old gt500 drivetrain, a few extra body bits, and I’m sure a couple other things to update it a bit.

contrasted with the previous top tier boosted mustangs (nonsensical Gtd notwithstanding) from the factory, it’s just not that hot for it’s time. It’s a parts bin special based on a 6 year old car that has recently been beaten with an ugly stick, AKA DEAD horse.

the really frustrating part is knowing Ford is capable of true greatness. But they just don’t seem interested.

As I understand it FoMoCo had to use the "Mach" name plate for the E-Vehicle to comply with government regulation. In order to give us the Mach 1 there had to be an EV with the same name plate. So it wasn't that FoMoCo wanted to by choice give the "Mach" name to an EV. Not many people know this from what I understand.
incorrecf. They simply needed to keep the name registration active. And just in case, they could have named the dark horse “Mach one” and literally no one would be sad. Instead they gave the name to grandmas grocery getter and everyone got upset. Not the way to do things.

So I get insulted by 2 members, I defend myself. And I get told to leave WTF?
dobt worry about it. I do think someone misunderstood you, it took off from there snd sone folks just picked one of you to ask to not turn the thread into something too off topic. It happens. Just learn to not respond to someone when they dobt understand. Where you’re coming from. You both have made good points in certsin areas. You both seem to care about mustang. And you disagree over what appears to be a misunderstanding. Sometimes you just let things roll for the goid of everyone. And yes the same thing can be said to our forum buddy also. I know I’ve been on both sides and learned to know when it just isn’t worth it. Just a little friendly, if unsolicited, advice. Stay aboard, let rhis ine go, and enjoy the lighter side of how things normally are.

You can't bore a 5.0 out to 5.4
Gen 3 5.0 bore 3.66" stroke 3.65"
GT3 5.4 bore 3.66" stroke 3.875"

History has taught us, as I said, without competition there is less progress. No one should be surprised that Ford did the bare minimum. I expected this given there’s no comp to move it forward. Also the S650 is a reskinned S550, so given there’s no comp, no one should be surprised the DHSC is a reskinned S550 GT500.

See, GM continues to innovate to drive the Corvette forward, and when it brings back the Camaro it will benefit from said development likely once again and come back ahead of the stagnant Mustang.
I still am hoping that Corvette will get a manual transmission back someday. A nice 6 speed manual would be great. I feel like the C8 took one step forward and two steps back. I wish they would stop increasing the weight a few hundred pounds every generation. 3,650 is positively porky for a 2 seater all aluminum car.

The debut of the new DH SC promoted the advantage of the duck tail under the CF wing for added downforce on the Track Pack version. Isn't this the same set up Shelby America is already using on their 2024+ Super Snake cars? Looks similar to me. Or does the DH SC maybe a more aggressive angle? Added in the DH SC standard also...

Your reply. It's too long... I didn't read it. It's much simpler than you think.

Things don't have to be complicated.

But whatever. You don't like the car you don't like it. I don't like the way it looks either personally but I won't say something potentially inflammatory about the design or the designers. Return to your soapbox.
