the grill is going to be the designer’s regret for a long time. It just doesn’t work. It’s the same old honeycomb pattern from the 70s, now flush with the body on the bottom, yet somehow trying to do that on the top, but caving in in the middle there, flanked by two nostril things that don’t flow with anything except matching the inexplicable exhaust tips on the back. In short, it’s a visual mess.

Others have said it resembles the zl1 and I agree. The hood looks like a direct xerox copy. But honestly, the zl1 looked better than this. And Thsys just really sad. The sleek, stylish gt500 of 2020 has been turn into a dark horse with the fascia of a truck. Better be a whole heck of a lot of horsepower on tap to distract from those looks. Whatever happened to “poster car?”
I wonder how many different designs will even work when you have 800hp of air and cooling in that front end with six heat exchangers back there

Watch what you say, I was born here, educated here, and I'm American as they get. Don't assume $hit because of someone's name. You don't know me at all, so don't make accusations. I have never been "woke" and never will be. I called it out, or can't you read Troll?
Hahah and don't assume has anything to do with a design. I swear you people are retarded.

good analysis. If you are happy with the NEW dhsc being a rebadged OLD GT500, so be it.

but that’s what it is. Bare minimum investment.

as for me and many others here and elsewhere, history has taught us to expect much, much more. It’s just a sad era right now.
History has taught us, as I said, without competition there is less progress. No one should be surprised that Ford did the bare minimum. I expected this given there’s no comp to move it forward. Also the S650 is a reskinned S550, so given there’s no comp, no one should be surprised the DHSC is a reskinned S550 GT500.

See, GM continues to innovate to drive the Corvette forward, and when it brings back the Camaro it will benefit from said development likely once again and come back ahead of the stagnant Mustang.

As I understand it FoMoCo had to use the "Mach" name plate for the E-Vehicle to comply with government regulation. In order to give us the Mach 1 there had to be an EV with the same name plate. So it wasn't that FoMoCo wanted to by choice give the "Mach" name to an EV. Not many people know this from what I understand.
That doesn't make sense as they wanted to call it the Mustang Mach1, what would they have called the actual Mustang Mach1 then? Honestly my theory is it was originally the coupe Mach1 was supposed to be a BOSS car, but with the Mach1 promised to return already and people hating the EV being named it they had to rename the BOSS to Mach1.

It explains a bit more why the car looks more like classic BOSS 302's than Mach1's, and goes with a PPL2 suspension engineer that says they were told to make the setup as if they were developing it for a new BOSS car. It feels like there was a lot of last-minute name changing.

I heard the Mach1 ( Mach) EV connection from a Ford spokesperson on an internet car show. Also probably no coincidence the Mach-E debut was roughly same time the Mach 1 came out in 2021.

I see your "American as they get" and raise you with actual Native American.

Google the real meaning of "woke" then maybe you'll get why your initial post makes 0 sense and just makes you sound like a fool. I'll just assume you're just as typical "American as they get" and don't want to actually educate yourself though.

Pro Tip: it doesn't mean what you THINK it means, and there has been "yes" men in business for decades before you or I were even born.

That still doesn't address the fact that would mean they intended with drop 2 very different vehicles with the name "Mach1". If that's the actual case, then Ford Marketing is even dumber than I suspected.

I got a Mach1.
Yeah? The new One?
Yup!
Oh I love the sound of that v8.
No I got an EV
But I thought you got the Mach1
Yup. The Ford Mach1, not the Ford Mustang Mach1.
Oh.

Ford originally announced the Mach1(EV) in Jan 2018, gave it rename in mid 2019, the Mach1 Coupe was announced in early 2020. So, there was time to change things.

What I still don't get is why they went from the Ford Mach1 to the Ford Mustang Mach-E. I don't get what attaching Mustang to it did. Ford uses model names for lots of things on just one car. Now if adding Mustang to the EV gave them a tax/EPA loophole I'd understand that. MACH I do not.

Look at the Fusion Sport and Taurus SHO. Logically they should BOTH be SHO trim names. Ford doesn't have RS used on anything but the Focus, and they used the ST name on the 2.3 Focus before it was on anything else.

Google! it lies to you all day and you call me a fool. SMH. Where I work I see it first hand all day every day. Everything designed by committee. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. And by the way, I never mentioned gender, so I don't get where your PRO TIP comes from. And since you got me on a roll, someone born here can't be an American? What? SMH Here we go again making assumptions about people we don't know or never met. Talk about foolish. I guess "Woke" is a trigger word. I thought this forum was cool, guess I was wrong.

Yeah , probably something to do with the Mustang Mach name in conjuction with the tax/EPA loophole as you stated. This makes sense to me also. FoMoCo has brilliant lawyers who know exactaly how to work with these government regulations. Seems reminisent to me how in 1969- 1970 Ford got to use the "Boss" engine in the Mustang because of NASCAR race car regulations in place at that time.
