Previous set up:
F: 19x8.5 255/40/19
R: 20X10 305/35/20

Current new set up:
F: 19x8.5 245/35/19
R: 20x10 285/30/20

For the rear tire thats almost a 2" reduction in diameter.

The car absolutely feels more peppy. And the the throttle response is significantly better.

The down side is the wheel well gap kinda looks weird to me now. But oh well.

Of course it accelerates better - you changed effective gearing of your transmission / differential this way. Also your max speeds in each gear (including top speed of the car) are lower and cruising on the highway will be at the higher rpm if at same speed as with the previous tire.

(and speedo will be out of whack but it already was since previous one was taller than stock).

This isn't remotely small tire - I run 315/30R18 which has 25.6" diameter...

It was - with a taller tire. Now the gearing is obviously shorter - that's what I meant - may have misread your post.

You can do it either way. I think the calculator says 3.65 if you go that way

The cars sits on steeda progressive springs atm.

A part of the reason for going a bit more narrow with these tires was to mitigate some of the fling.

They're building data centers faster than McDonald's out here. For the next handful of years. Shitty part, the roads are constantly covered in dirt and gravel tracked out by the dump trucks. Sending splatter down the car. Having the tire slightly back inside has made a significant difference.

Could have gone with rock blockers. But I don't like them much.

Totally....small spacers should keep inside plus even if inside fronts will splatter qtr panels I used rock blockers while running full PPF.
