I think my guy talked some sense into their head and now the hood is open. Here is the super snake engine bay.

Same supercharger to my knowledge, I think its the angle of the picture. The one I worked with has open top filters too. And an aftermarket coolant tank (Mishimoto). Other than that all the same. I know this one dyno'ed over 800 hp . Spicy I drove it around the block to dry the brakes when I was done, its a MT 82 car, he has axles and a Ben Calimer trans enroute...

Yeah the internet Karens had a COW when I showed the engine bay foamed down and suds down in there . Calm down, I wrapped the filters in plastic bags, do not panic not my first rodeo, it was hilarious everybody and their brother getting their drawers all in a bunch

Well sorta true . Thats why I carry commercial insurance.. Better be safe than sorry

As mentioned, they’re the same. Shelby’s tune might be a little different than the standard Ford/Whipple tune and then obviously the closed air boxes. The Whipple unit is the same though.

Thanks Stage3, I will give it a couple months. I hope it goes well. It’s so low with the Ford performance handling springs! We’ll see if I can pay enough attention!

Summer detailing at friend's barn - picture story.
Pulled a nail out of one tyre. Polished exhaust tips, applied ceramics to the wheels (Cquartz Dlux from CarPro).

Looks amazing…..I couldn’t get through my neighborhood with that. Even the HP would have a limited life span of about maybe 3 weeks.

Finally got the sidestripes in. Washed out the garage and installed them. Went well. Got them from auto design and they are 3M quality pieces. The black isn’t as black as the Oem but it’s close. The other thing I noticed is the stock they’re cut from may not be black because you can see a very faint white on the leading edge of the cut (could be the adhesive?). Because my car is dark matter gray you can see the leading edge of the cut in certain lighting angles. Doesn’t bother me too much because the red is a spot on match with the factory red stripe on the hood. Overall, worth the $150 vs $850 from the dealer! Now I have an oem looking mach 1 again! Up next Ford Performance X pipe.
