I can say that my experience with Steve @ BobsAutoSports was excellent. I was one of the first few PP cars to get one and I communicated the small issues back and forth with him and they immediately would send over the info to their machinist and create an updated bracket and ship it out to me. UPR has had some bad press in the past for copying designs and products and it seems like they've come over that hump so good on them. Both will work plenty well, I'd say go with whichever design/look you like better.

I vote Bobs. I've ran their separator on my GT500 and my 03 Cobra. High quality and excellent customer service. Shelby guys love them.

+1

Sent me a revised bracket too at his own cost (part and shipping) without a 2nd thought even though it really isn't end of the world if it rubs your hood liner a tiny bit- ie. nothing was really defective that obligated him to send out parts free.

Great customer service.

Thanks for the input. I have one issue with both, Bobs rubs the hood liner and may have a problem with being exposed to heat? any validation behind this. And UPR is free standing so all the stress is on the hoses which can't be good in the long run .

The hood liner issue was addressed with a revision of the bracket and heat is not an issue for either.

The hose we use for our separators is a nylon braided re-enforced fuel / oil line so it will hold for a very long time.

Bobs is outstanding! The product and the customer service is top notch. You can see my post about it from a few weeks back if you haven't already.

I went with the Bobs Ultimate and am very pleased. It was about 6 weeks ago and the install was very easy. I don't have the PP and therefore no strut brace issue. That being said it appears the latest version of the UPR could be quite good also. I've seen the Bobs video where they do a very clinical and lab like (not on the car) comparison of their separator versus the competition. I also watched recently a UPR video of their latest version and how much it trapped in a late model 5.0 Mustang, not a 2015. What struck me about the UPR video is how much oil it had trapped as their container was completely full. It made me wonder more about the engine health of their test car than how good their separator actually was. If this argument is going to be settled as to which is best then I believe a truly independent tester using a identical and realistic testing process for both is needed.

Do you have the links for both videos?

The motor was very strong and had great ring seal. The difference is how much oil really travels through every oil separator and the fact that most of them don't even come close to capturing a fraction of what goes through them. Also the location on the video you are referring to is much better to keep the system cool and traps a ton of condensation as well. Whereas cans mounted above the engine tend to cook the water and force it to evaporate.

We have found that more remote mounting location yield much better oil control and are so much easier to handle and manage when servicing. As well as they always stay cool to the touch and you don't have to wait to remove them to be emptied.

Just a bit of info.

They have a kit for PP. No strut brace issues...
