Dark Horse - 1/4 mile - 12.0 secs with auto, 12.6 secs with manual per motortrend
Mach 1 - 1/4 mile - 12.1 secs with auto per automobile catalog, 12.6 secs with manual per motortrend
GT350R - 1/4 mile - 12.1 secs per motortrend

The auto on the Mach 1 and DH gives a lot of different times from high 11's to low 12's. So if this is correct the driver of the DH was def asleep.

I've seen people with GT PP/Magnaride, expensive CAIs, LTH cat back, x pipe. Borla Ataks, short shifts and all get smoked by GTs with A10s and h-pipes. I do have the getrag equipped GT. I may go STH very soon. I hear the STH is be for the streets.

And with all of the agita over options to maximize 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for the M1 and DH, the GT350/R has no such alternative configuration. It’s only geared (pun intended) towards road course use. While the drivers were not equally proficient, the car configurations were as apples to apples as possible…The results are representative while not precisely accurate.

The voodoo sounds fantastic in person, especially with the valves open. Video does not always capture the sound properly. They can sound a little tinny with the valves closed.

Also, I must ask why you own an S550 Mustang if you think they don’t sound good. That’s half the experience (the sound).
Because I dont have any of these exhaust systems on car, that's why.

so, as a M1 HP M6 owner,

my expectation with same trans was, GT350, M1, DH. 350 over M1 due to HP and power band, M1 over DH due to weight.

However, to make all equal, the M1 shouldve had the rear seat delete, non-elite, recaros, to be equal weight, and the DH shouldve been HP and rear seat delete (if that was an option, would imagine so). I still would not expect any change in result order, but how close some of those numbers were. (other than the DH not being HP, we do not know the other options on the M1 / DH that were or were not on the cars)

While being in the 350 section of the board, for a more daily focused car, I'd take the M1. for a weekend only, and more track use, the 350 any day. The DH...never.

if we did comparisons for each car, in max speed options, but pure stock, I'd expect a toss up. the A10 is just so much quicker than our tremecs.

If we did this with tunes, minor (reasonable) mods, I'd expect the M1 to take the top spot, and the DH to remain in last. only because the 5.0 lends itself to mods better (or perhaps it is that certain parts of the 5.0 are not as optimized as the 5.2, so those changes have a larger effect, i.e. exhaust), and eliminates the power advantage the DH has over the M1, but the weight advantage of the S550 is insurmountable and requires significantly more power to overcome.

(reasonable being, keeping the cars streetable, and accessories functional like AC, radio, etc)

But, I would rather row my own gears and give up a bit of 1/4 mile times because this is a car I drive to enjoy.

Regardless, they're all impressive, and I hope to see all you 350 guys on the road enjoying your cars (that sound and the throttle response are just.....cannot be beat.). Screw the S650s, all of 'em. damn things look like crap imo, outside and inside. not as bad as the mustang 2, but that's the only one worse looking imo.

It doesn't matter what changes you make to a vehicle, if you make it deliver more power, it'll go faster than it did before you changed it. If you don't change it, it won't.

The three cars were what they were and the results were not a surprise. There's nothing else to say about the video.

Bottom line is the GT350R is built for the race track. A10 is not well suited for that. Different missions. The 350R is competent drag racing but designed more for road Racing, the Mach 1 is an all around great car, likely the best for a street car but can do the others as well. The DH, big no thank you from me

I would imagine that's how press cars work

different options etc could change the weights of each though
