How are s550s ageging for you?

My '22 GT has a whopping 3,608 miles is also my daily and garaged. Retired as well. I know, I need to get out more

My 2020 currently has 7,624 miles on it. I'm retired also and when we moved to the continent 2 years ago, it had about 2,500 miles on it. I only drive it in nice weather so am putting more miles on it now that I can actually drive decent distances. Planning on going down to Vegas in the fall again. Having some fun with the higher speed limits here compared to what we had in the islands.

Second owner of my 2020 GT—picked it up last August with just 7,500 miles, and I’ve already put it up to nearly 24,000. Absolutely love how it looks, both inside and out.

Only thing I wish it had is the digital cluster. Not quite enough for me to chase a retrofit, but man, Ford really nailed the look with the S550 digital dash. Clean, classic layout—none of that giant iPad-in-the-dash stuff. This is how digital should be done.

Mine has 6000km =3700 odd miles.
Im in my late 30s, i love this car but only love driving it on weekends, friends place, going for an actual drive.
I would not enjoy driving it daily to work/chores/etc, im paranoid about people opening their door on mine, plus in tight parking spots, its a pain to park, as my other cars are smaller

It's a shame to not drive for valid dent fear....budget for PDR, or get a handicap pass leveraging any injury you may have experienced, park on the line next to handicap spots, parallel park all work. PPF solves the scuff risks.

Aus only got the digital clusters and man im glad we did.

At the time it felt like premium upgrade a few years later, after seeing the s650 screens, i see now it as a classic blend of technology and class,

Who knows in 10 yrs if the analogue clusters will appear nostalgic?

The s550 with the premium interior and digital dash is by far my favorite layout of any car. That showstopper red pictured earlier really takes it up another level. I am so envious of those fancy red interiors. The toggle switches and fighter jet layout with the red stitching just nails it. The only things I would have changed are the poor A10 programming/dipstick and the lack of the Tremecs as an option on all trim levels.

Mines 10 years old. Ordered her, she was built on my birthday and the last car my dad saw of mine before he passed away. I have 78k and put in spark plugs, will be changing the brakes this year and made many modifications over the years to make her a very special car. The transmission cradle(?) is loose so had to buy a part and having it installed. Otherwise a fantastic car!

I didn't see a photo of a car with the A10. One day the 6 speed may no longer be available. Look what happened the Ecoboost. No more six speed or PP, no more Magnaride either.

When i got quotes it was about $4000aud and my resesrch showed that it would eventually peel off/bubble/lift

To a point i thought about doing it myself... at least i could i redo it every couple.of years for minimal.price

Yes, the 10 speed transmissions in all vehicles today seem to be piles of crap! And yes, not putting a dipstick on the car so that you can check the transmission fluid is also idiotic! Not putting an aluminum transmission fluid pan with a drain plug is idiotic also!

Your thread title asks how are they aging. Your 1st post asks how are they holding up.
I think that those are two distinctly different questions.
My thoughts on aging are that there are certain model years that are iconic. Certainly the '64 ¹/² is. For me the next is the '67. Those will always grab my attention. The Fox bodies are ok but about the only one that really catches my eye is the '04 Anniversary car. Then the remodel in '05. And, while I like the S197 cars I think that the S550 is a better vision of the classic Mustang. So, for me, the S550 is and will continue to age well.
How they are holding up is another question and one most in this thread cannot really answer. Ten year old cars with 15k miles or 6 years old with 4k miles, etc, etc cannot speak to how well themodel is "holding up".
My '18 Ecoboost was my DD for 4 years until I retired. It currently is at 107k ish miles. It is still my DD but obviously not driven as much. In its lifetime it has had one major issue. The common EB headgasket leak into #3 cylinder. It was repaired under warranty. Besides that, knock on wood, it has been issue free. I take care of my cars but they are not babied. My interior is showing very, very little wear. The exterior looks better than you would expect a 107k car to look. Nearly weekly i get compliments on it and very few believe it is 8 y/o. So, as long as that continues I'd say it's "holding up" well.

It's a bit hard for me to comment. But my atlas blue '22 GT looks great parked next to Nichelle's new vapor blue '25 GT. Although we both love the color blue we both have an affinity for the "Bullitt", and she once owned one. I found a source for dark highland green ppf, and want to get both cars done. But only after both are SC'd.

Nice! I want to take a road trip soon. I'm up in Washington state and thinking of driving down to see family in southern California.

I bought my 2018 GT from Jim Shorkey Ford in White Oak, PA on 8/16/18 with 3 miles on the odometer. 300A base GT with an MT82 and the spoiler delete option.

Currently, it has 8,459 miles. It is garage kept and is stored from late October to the following April to protect it from our winters.

The only problem that I've ever had was the right rear shock failing while driving it home from the dealership.

Modifications that I've made:

GT Premium leather seats
Optional polished 19" wheels
GT Premium cluster with MyColor
Sync 3 out of a wrecked 2023 GT Premium
Performance Pack gauges
MGW Shifter
Thermal R&D catback

At this point, I won't change anything else, and selling it is out of the question.

My only regret is not getting PP1.

14,000 miles.
SOUNDS GREAT and DRIVES GREAT with the negative camber and all the BMR components.
Looks great too!
The stock handling package wheels are really heavy.
The rear of the car GREATLY benefits from the BMR and Steeda stop the hop kit!
I wish there was a way to make the 10 speed transmissions, rock, solid, and strong! This is my second transmission and it’s already problematic after only six months. It’s been having more and more problems in the last few months.
my impression is that all 10 speed transmissions, no mater the manufacturer suck!
When the 10 speed works properly, it is great!
Only use 5W-50 engine oil.
I changed the differential fluid to a heavier weight also.
I’ve had zero heat issues with any of the fluids and components!
my impression is all cars and trucks manufactured in the last six years or so have major problems, whether it be engines or transmissions, no matter the manufacturer.
