I have the Steeda Whipple tune in my 2022 Steeda Mach 1 Whipple 6-speed manual. So far, since the vehicle is still not broken in, I have no significant issues, but I think I will need to have it re-tuned once I can go Wide Open Throttle (WOT). I have 700 miles on the car, and I have tried to accelerate (not WOT) harder than normal, and sometimes I get bogged down, like the fuel is not flowing enough or the ECU is stopping the car from hard acceleration. Now, I am not a tuner, so I am just assuming that a revised tune would be appropriate after a break-in period, and this would be a normal situation. Otherwise, I am not seeing any issues that would cause me any concerns.

I hope all is well with your Mach 1.

Cheers.
It could be that your traction control is kicking in, hence the bogging. Have you tried doing it, with the AdvanceTrac off?

I drive with traction control off. It still does it. This occurs sometimes, not always, but more often than not.

I am delighted with the improvement on my stock '21 non-hp Mach 1. The throttle response is quicker and there is definitely more torque in the lower RPM range that gets the car moving quicker than before the tune.
Tune may make more of an impact on a 10-speed than a 6-speed though. I am waiting for feedback from Tim and Matt @ steeda before I give this a go on my 6-speed M1HP...

With the tune, it'll chirp the tires even with the traction control on when I'm more assertive (not aggressive!) with the throttle.

Thanks TJ.

Would a tune be worth the money on a relatively stock 2022 Mach1 HP, if I have access to 93 and 94 Octane fuel? I track the car maybe 1-2 days per month from May to Oct (summer season in Quebec+Ontario, Canada). I wish it had a little more oomph in 4th and 5th gear, at 4000-6500 RPM... ...
I bought a Steeda tune with the 114 cai, and it definitely was worth it. Throttle more responsive and it did wonders to my 10r80 (looks like you have a manual), but just getting rid of that dead pedal was worth the tune. Steeda’s tunes are safe and solid.

Does it leave a footprint? Will it void warranty?

Had mine a year now and still loving it! No issues with service at Ford dealership.

I recently added it to my BULLITT. I really feel a stronger punch at lower RPM and it just feels like it wants to pull more through the whole power band. Up top I wouldn't say it's a dramatic difference, but when driving daily from 1500-3k there is noticeable more grunt.

All tunes leave a footprint, and if you have engine issues they WILL check if there is a tune and may void due to it depending on the issue.

Does it leave a footprint if it's set back to oem? Is it easy to see? In my experience most of the techs can barely use Forescan.

I wanted a diff temp sensor in my 2022 GT. Installed it, took the car to the dealer to program. They fiddled with it for 3 hours and couldn't do it.

I came home and found a YouTube video, downloaded the free trial software, and had it working on my dash menu in 90 minutes. My first time using Forescan.

What I was told by a tuner is that the PCM has a counter called KeyTurns that ticks up 1 each time the car is turned on. Flashing a tune or returning to stock resets or stops that counter. So if the dealer sees your car has 20,000 miles on it, but also that it only had 4 KeyTurns with no service record of having the PCM replaced recently they know it's very unlikely that you drove the car four times for 5,000 miles each time and that it's more likely you have flashed or restored from a tune.

I just waited till my powertrain warranty was up then put my tune on. Then I don't have to worry about it.

Then maybe buy when there is a sale coming up then just put it on in November.
I've never seen anyone in the Mach1 or Bullitt chats say they had any issues due to running it. The only thing that I'd suggest is when you order it request to keep the pops and burbles you get when you downshift and are not on the gas if you like those fun sounds. By default, it removes those noises. At least the BULLITT version does. The power delivery is much more linear, but the lack of fun sounds makes it feel a bit to "mature" for me. :-)
