I do not have a Mach 1, but I do have steeda tune on my GT premium and it is a great tune, big difference in throttle response (no more pedal lag), and the shift points are much better with the 10r80, the car runs much better than the factory tune.

Yes I bought it when they released it. From my review in the Steeda thread. This is my opinion when I put the tune in, I did not use track.

"I used normal and sport+. Both shift faster and seem to stay in each gear longer. Normal is fine for the street but sport + seems like it should be for the drag strip/track now because it is wanting to make you go faster even more than stock. The shifts are smoother and I felt a lot less lag if any between shifts. Overall it seems like it is faster and the tune def helped the shift lag it had with stock."

"The trans seems to take its time going through the gears. I was cruising and it was in 8th gear for awhile. The shifts in Sport+ are super agressive, they are def wanting to shift and go which Is why I was saying Sport + is for the drag strip/track now. Maybe Steeda can fine tune it for someone but the tune you get it is ready to go and play but not on the street."

"I believe I was at 50-55 in 8th gear cruising. The sport + was a shock on how more aggressive it became. "

I don't have a Mach1, but my Bullitt is close enough...I've been running the Steeda tune for almost two years now and still have no regrets, as the car not only runs noticeably better but gets better gas mileage too, a win win for me.

Thank you for the responses!!

Mine is 6 spd manual, I haven’t noticed throttle lag and obviously I control the shifting points. My main thought was to squeeze a few more HP out of her to get closer to that 500 number.

I am "guestimating" mine at about 510 at the flywheel with the Steeda tune and X pipe on 93 octane, however as I don't have access to a dyno locally I'll stick with the "calculated" figure for now...but then there is the FI option that I've been thinking about...

I run mine strictly 93 octane, no exhaust modifications (assumed active exhaust was enough) I should probably consider an H pipe but I do want to keep it NA.

I have the Steeda Whipple tune in my 2022 Steeda Mach 1 Whipple 6-speed manual. So far, since the vehicle is still not broken in, I have no significant issues, but I think I will need to have it re-tuned once I can go Wide Open Throttle (WOT). I have 700 miles on the car, and I have tried to accelerate (not WOT) harder than normal, and sometimes I get bogged down, like the fuel is not flowing enough or the ECU is stopping the car from hard acceleration. Now, I am not a tuner, so I am just assuming that a revised tune would be appropriate after a break-in period, and this would be a normal situation. Otherwise, I am not seeing any issues that would cause me any concerns.

I hope all is well with your Mach 1.

Cheers.

Yes I only use 93 octane too which was what my tune was for.

Thanks TJ.

Would a tune be worth the money on a relatively stock 2022 Mach1 HP, if I have access to 93 and 94 Octane fuel? I track the car maybe 1-2 days per month from May to Oct (summer season in Quebec+Ontario, Canada). I wish it had a little more oomph in 4th and 5th gear, at 4000-6500 RPM... ...

I know from personal experience that a tune is a nice wake-up call on any stock Mustang. Let me put you in touch with Matt, our lead tuner, who can provide a little more feedback on the specifics.

Shoot me an email at [email protected] & I will get you the necessary support to help make a decision!

Best,

TJ

I am delighted with the improvement on my stock '21 non-hp Mach 1. The throttle response is quicker and there is definitely more torque in the lower RPM range that gets the car moving quicker than before the tune.
