We usually hit the Ranch Santa Fe one in San Diego, but I'd be willing to go up to the San Clemente one and deal with traffic and cops for 2 hours back.

I'd be down for May 31 or June 14.
II really appreciate your willingness to travel. That’s a long way for basically a two hour car show. It’s from 9 AM to 11 AM and they do start kicking everybody out at 11 AM. I usually get ahead of the crowd at 10:30. On June 14 I’ll already be in Florida as I leave on June 7. May 31 is the weekend before. Maybe we can get some more SoCal folk to join us.

Changed up the engine bay a bit, lightly modified a GEN4 engine cover and added a coolant tank reservoir cover. Pretty happy with how it turned out. This “mod” does require you to remove the factory “Powered By Ford” bracket pieces.

Looks great any instructions on how you made the modifications to the cover in order for it to fit. Thanks.

I'm working on creating a new thread/post sharing photos of how the conversion was done. I'll share a link when I get to it. Pretty straight forward though, essentially you will have to remove the factory "Powered By Ford" trim brackets, drill holes in the cover towards the back to have access to the factory screws/mounting points and then attach with some stainless steel M6x15mm hex socket caps/inserts (Or something else if preferred)

Thinking it is finally time to add long tubes and tune, has anyone run a similar set up on their Mach 1 or have any recommendations?

Currently these are the options/combo that I am leaning towards:
• Stainless Works/Stainless Power 1 7/8 catted long tube headers factory connect (currently have Steeda X-pipe)
• Wengerd Performance 2021+ Mach 1 NA 91+E85 Tune (91 Octane and E85 are more readily available in my area compared to 93)
• RTD3 Tuning Device (w/4 Credits)

Almost the exact same setup I have, but I went with a 93/E 85 tune and a steeda H pipe. Are you going to do the header install yourself or have a shop install them?

Thats the exact setup I had on my 22 GT and it was amazing.... I have Wengerd tune now on my Mach 1, headers are coming in the future.

I’m going to looking into doing it myself with a buddy, but there is also a performance shop in town that does work on Fords/Chevys so I’ll see what they quote for labor. Any tips on self install?

Get an engine support bar from harbor freight, about 80 bucks, and get a stretch belt tool.
You will need to remove the motor mounts from the side of the engine, hence the support bar. Pop off the A/C belt and unbolt the compressor and lay it out of the way, you'll need a stretch belt tool for this. Forget about using header bolts, just reuse the factory studs and nuts, they're already locktighted into the head. With the a/c comp out of the way, you should be able to fish the new header in over the studs on the passenger side. if you don't move the comp, plan on pulling at least 6 studs on the passenger side and fighting to get the header on. The drivers side is a piece of cake.
When you're ready to tighten up the clamps for the cats, get a 1" ratchet strap and hook one end on the resonator or X pipe and the other end on the crossmember under the engine and crank down and pull the cat back as far forward as you can, then tighten the clamps. this will keep the wires for the active exhaust from rubbing on the passenger side which is a common issue on S 550's with active exhaust.

Very happy.

Machtober the car looks amazing. How are you doing with curbs, driveways, and speed bumps? That spoiler is low! I’m asking because as you can see above I’m lowered on ford performance springs and am DYING to add the HP spoiler but don’t see how it would work.🤔
